- Description
This role will suit a bright hybrid Software Implementation Consultant who has some functional, technical and integration skills, is web savvy, good at analysis, and understands business requirements, and who is looking for a very varied, fast moving and creative implementation, integration and project management job. You can be home based but will probably go into the office one day a fortnight, so ideally you live somewhere in the south east or south west within a couple of hours of the Southampton area. To £45k + private health.
This company's highly intuitive, user-friendly and innovative B2B e-commerce, warehouse and mobile / iPad software solution was initially developed for sales reps out in the field who go into shops and retailers to update and order their stock and supplies. It now allows retailers, wholesalers field sales people and sales agents, to place and process catalogue orders from any location, using pre-agreed prices and terms.
As an Implementation Consultant here, you could be involved with pre-sales, the business requirements, the software set up, the workflows and installation, technical integration with ERP solutions, configuration of some components with Amazon Web Services, consulting with the developers for solution enhancements plus managing smaller projects.
So they are looking for someone who has done some of the above, has that rare quality of both functional and technical skills, understands business areas such as distribution, multi-channel retail, e-commerce, stock & inventory, and is organised, curious, and full of initiative and wants to work with a really cool product.
You will be responsible for managing new software implementations and project upgrades and enhancements, and integrating the solution with a variety of ERP and accounting products such as NetSuite, Merlin, SAP, D365 Business Central, Orderwise, Sage 200, Opera, Access Dimensions, Intact IQ and more. They are very busy, most of their clients are looking to upgrade their ERP systems and they have more work than they could dream of.
No two days are ever the same and you will have many challenges which you will fully embrace. You are happy talking to clients, configuring the right solutions for them, doing some technical integration and getting involved in all aspects of the implementation process. You are commercially aware, you produce good documentation, and you are a brilliant communicator with a passion for software and technology.
The 2 directors are great people, they treat everyone with respect and integrity and there is genuine personal warmth in the business. They have spent 28 years making a profit, which means the company is in good shape, no bankers or investors or anything weird, just a company with strong finance, a brilliant product and a good order book.
