Description

ERP Application Support superstar needed for a brilliant, award-winning software company based in Southampton, who sell ERP solutions to a specialist sector. They want someone who enjoys application support, but also relishes the challenge of helping the implementation consultants on projects. This is unusual in that the support team is quite large but there are only a few ERP consultants. So quite often a consultant will ask the support team to do part of the project work with them.

Salary to £30k with a review after 6 months, but you must be in commuting distance of Southampton. There is plenty of flexibility for working from home a few days a week, but everyone comes into the office at least twice a week.

You need prior experience of supporting ERP, or accounting software or something very similar such as dealer management systems, automotive, construction software, field service management solutions, WMS, retail, merchandising, fleet management, transport management, MRP etc. They will cross train you to a superb cloud based mid-market ERP software solution, which covers supply chain, wholesale, warehousing, job costing, e-commerce, accounting, inventory, bar coding, POD, distribution, CRM, trade sales and much more.

As part of their application support group, you will be taking enquiries from customers, and working through their issues with the ERP system until you come up with the right solution. This will include recreating scenarios, bug fixing, testing, documenting issues and writing reports. Plus of course, you will be helping the ERP consultants out on project work.

Hopefully you are enthusiastic and bubbly, but have a calm, considered approach. You enjoy communicating with people and problem solving and have a 'can do' attitude and excellent customer service skills with a thirst for learning. You have worked in a support role on systems such as Kerridge, Epicor, Orderwise, Sage 200, Dynamics Business Central or NAV, SAP Business One, OGL Profit 4, Infor, Sage X3, Greentree, Efacs, QAD, Dynamics AX, JDE, Syspro, NetSuite, Access Dimensions, Iris Exchequer, COINS, Intact IQ, WMS or anything similar.

Why is this a good job?

The difference here is the environment, the people, the team spirit - and the prospects. You will learn about their ERP software and about SQL databases, you will get to help the implementation consultants on project work and to do 2nd and 3rd line application support once you have learnt the software and the ropes. You will share your issues with other team members and learn from their knowledge, plus you will have a good laugh, and you will get to enjoy the social side of being in a fun, growing and progressive company.

Career prospects are excellent with the opportunity to move into consulting & software implementation, or project management or software development or training. If you'd like to know more and are in commuting distance of Southampton for a couple of days a week in the office, please get in touch with Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing.
