Description

Software Implementation Consultant, Professional Services Consultant, Functional Consultant for a key role working with innovative web-based solutions in Southwest London. Salary is up to £50k depending on your level of experience and the depth of your skills. They are happy to look at more junior people, or Senior Consultants. Flexible working with 2 days a week in the London office.

They sell a very successful facilities management software solution that allows property owners to manage, maintain and plan their properties and work spaces. So, the product is used for dealing with repairs and long-term maintenance and many other things such as asset management, planning, work orders, stock control, resource management, hazards, safety, and contractor management, as well as workspace management.

This is a flexible and modular cloud solution which includes mobile functionality that sends a message to the maintenance people to look after a multitude of things, whether that be something as small as fixing leaks or scheduling the refurbishment of an entire unit or commercial building. Many of their clients are banks, large retailers, county councils, hospitals, and universities or any type of business that owns lots of buildings that require lots of maintenance and workspace requirements.

Their software integrates with their clients' accounting software, so this Functional Consultant role is not finance focused, but is very much looking at the workflows that the client has.

They have offices across the globe and have grown to around 140 people; most of the software implementation projects are with clients based in the London area. There is some travel to client sites, but it is a rarity. You will need to go into head office 2 days a week, so you need to be happy travelling to the Putney, Barnes, Wandsworth area of south London 2 days a week.

If a client needs a bit of bespoke work, then you will write the specification for the developers, however large modifications are handled by a separate development and business analysis team. There is also a separate team working on the data imports.

So as a Functional Implementation Consultant you are very much focused on the requirements, the software set up, workflows and dealing with the clients. They are looking for a bright, enthusiastic Software Implementation Consultant who has full life cycle implementation skills in a client facing role. You will be happy talking to clients, getting their requirements, running the workshops, doing the specification, configuring the software to fit, implementing the solutions, go-live and training the clients. You have solid commercial awareness, good documentation & communication skills, and a passion for software and technology.

They need someone who is experienced in implementing application software. This could be something like their own product such as Facilities Management Software, CAFM, Property Software, BIM, Service Management Software, Workplace Management Software or ERP Software, or it could be Field Service Management, Retail solutions, Pensions or Bookings Software, Procurement or Asset Management or Maintenance Software, Hire & Rental Software, Estate Agency or Events Software, Construction Software or anything along those lines.

Why work here?

  • The software is classy, clients love it and that is why it is being sold all over the world
  • They only sell facilities management software and are very specialist in their niche
  • The projects are well sold, so the implementation role is very do-able
  • The management team are great and people love working here

Typical projects are 50 days and 50 users, but you will probably start off on upgrades or small 5 user solutions until you have learnt all the nuances of the software. At the top end, they have 200 user systems.
