Description

Super role for an experienced BI Consultant with the right attitude and experience to successfully manage a small team of Business Intelligence Consultants. You will be reviewing the reports and analytics queue, planning, and allocating the work, and estimating timings and delivery, as well as staying hands on, doing 2 days a week of BI development and consulting work yourself.

The job is remote, home based, but ideally you will live somewhere south of the Midlands down to the west or south coast, as you will have to go into the office near Uxbridge 2 days a month. Salary to £50k plus car allowance and benefits.

This role sits inside an ERP software consulting firm, with a long history of success in their niche markets. They have huge global presence but remain a fiercely independent company with very loyal clients. The BI team is a small group who develop and supply BI analytics, workflow, and reports to the client base, supporting their software.

The technology involved is PowerBI, 4GL, Macros and the company's in-house BI solution, although they are moving more and more towards PowerBI being the focus for the future The job needs someone who is not just a good tech person, but a great people manager; who can motivate, mentor, and drive the team, using a structured approach to their work and giving them lots of support, encouragement, and praise.

As well as leading this small team, you will be the Lead BI Consultant, looking at the requirements and scope, liaising with clients, developing, testing, documenting, and delivering solutions, using DataMart, workflows, and reporting tools. You will have some software development and 4GL query writing skills, and excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.

This company can offer you a great future, in whichever direction you want to take it, if you have the management and tech qualities they are looking for.
