Description

Dual role for a savvy Sage Consultant, doing a mix of application support, 2nd line Support and basic implementations and software upgrades. This job requires someone with strong experience of Sage 200, SQL and ideally Sicon add-ons, who likes a lot of variety in their day and has enough experience and confidence, to work remotely, organising their own workload and diary and hitting SLA targets. The money is up to £50k, possibly £55k if you can tick a lot of the boxes, skills wise, plus private healthcare.

This Sage reseller is well known and well respected, with a 35 year+ track record in building great relationships and putting the customer first. They are very strong in Sage 200, Business Intelligence, Sage development (they have their own developers) and Sage 200 add-ons from Sicon, Eureka and Draycir including Manufacturing, Bar Coding, CRM, Inventory, Spindle, Direct Debit, Epos and many more.

You can work from home full time but will need to come into their Midlands office 1 day a week for the first couple of months, whilst you familiarise yourself with their methods of working, the client base, and get to know the management team. After that, everyone meets once a month for a day in the office, to share good food, good news, socialising, and brainstorming, with a full group meeting. The team is currently around 25 people, and the 4 directors who run the business are all inspiring, enthusiastic, ambitious, and full of ideas.

They would love to hire someone who is an ambitious 2nd Line Support Consultant with strong Sage 200, some Sage add-ons, and SQL reporting / SQL Server skills, who would like to do a bit more consulting and implementation work as well as support, or hire a Sage 200 Implementation Consultant, who doesn't want to travel much and would like an easier, more varied role, with a bit more technical involvement.

You will be responsible for 2nd Line Support of Sage 200, plus Sicon (a lot of bar coding and manufacturing support), Eureka and Spindle, SQL report design and writing, software upgrades, testing, (both remote), and some basic installations and implementations, probably 1 - 2 days a week. This will cover a wide range of areas from financials and commercials to manufacturing, CRM, and inventory. You will be able to run your own ship, keep your own logs and documentation, and book your own diary, scheduling the occasional days with clients where necessary, but still have all the back up and support from the management, your team members, and the software developers, whenever you need it. The wider your range of skills, the quicker you will be up and running, and able to do a day or two of chargeable client install work.

As far as Sage resellers go, this is one of the nicest bunch of people we deal with, and It's a great place to work with a brilliant future ahead.
