Description

This is a new role for a professional Implementation Consultant with experience of the accounting & finance modules of construction software. The software here is a fully functioning accounting solution; it is multi-company, multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional, plus it's a complex project accounting and project costing solution that is fully integrated and covers forecasting, cashflow and financial accounting. Your job would be to deliver successful software implementations from initial analysis through to go live, including workshops, configuration, data migration, training and hand holding.

As a Construction Finance Implementation Consultant here, you will have lots of interesting projects to work on with complex finance functionality. Much of the time though, the clients know what they want, and you will be trying to map those needs with the best way that it can be done on the software. The job is remote and flexible with travel to client sites where required; you can be based anywhere in the UK. Consultants all work from home - but need to be onsite for the workshops with the client, and the beginning of the testing stage; everything else can be done remotely. Salary to £60k plus a £6k car allowance, and private health insurance.

This is a leading global software company with an impeccable track record of delivering on premise and cloud-based ERP solutions for the construction and engineering industries. Their systems are intuitive and very flexible, and aside from the accounting aspect, include areas like plant & machinery, contractor payments, management reporting, marketing, estimating, facilities management, HR & payroll, project costing, procurement, and asset management.

They are in search of a talented Applications Software Consultant, Finance Consultant, Professional Services Consultant, or Implementation Consultant, who has a background in the accounting and finance areas of construction, estimating or FM software solutions. Strong accounting skills with the ability to talk about charts of accounts, revenue recognition, P&L and project accounting is essential.

Construction experience is also vital, as the construction industry has some unique accounting principles and clients expect the Consultants to be fully knowledgeable regarding those quirks.

So you will have previously implemented the accounting modules of construction, estimating or facilities management software such EasyBuild, RedSky, Xpedeon, COINS, MS NAV Constructa, Procore, Eque2, Summit, BuildSmart, 4PS Construct, Evolution, Pegasus CIS, inspHire, Sage Construct, Causeway, Build-IT, Autodesk, Esti-mate, CIA, SiteStream, Valesco, FM Server or similar.

Typically, your role will cover the full life cycle from looking at the business processes of your client, gathering requirements, workshops, software configuration, testing and implementation, training and post implementation hand holding. Generally projects are 80% set and 20% configurable, based on a whole set of parameters that need to be fitted to the client. Initially you will work alongside a Senior Consultant to learn the ropes and the software. Projects range from 25 to 100 users.

So you will be providing full life cycle implementation and consulting services during new software installations, upgrades and customisations, identifying and addressing gaps between the solution and the business practices of your clients, working with flow charts for gap analysis, and translating design documents and functional specification documents into system configuration deliverables.

This is a phenomenally successful company, which has expanded globally, but has managed to retain a great atmosphere and a family environment with very low staff turnover. There is a lot of variety and clients range from small construction companies to global corporate giants.
