Super successful software company seeks super organised Project Manager who can scope, plan, schedule and organise resources, on several concurrent implementation projects, and balance keeping a calm head, with enough authority to get things done when they're needed. They'll pay up to £60k with a 5% productivity bonus and £6k car allowance, and package of large company benefits.
They work with some of the world's biggest construction projects and firms, and their software has a heavy element of accounting as well all the modules required to take client projects from design, through build, to sales of commercial and residential property developments. So it covers Finance and Operations, Payroll & HR, Job Costing, Asset Management, Supply Chain, Project Delivery, Time Management, Issue Management, Service Management and more.
They employ around 350 people and have 6 global divisions, they work with some of the world's biggest and most successful firms, and their niche market is thriving right now. They are looking for a Project Manager with software projects experience who has worked with external clients for a software reseller, vendor, or consultancy and who understands the life cycle of application software implementation projects.
You will be responsible for establishing scope and managing variations to it, planning multiple concurrent projects, allocating ERP consultant resource, engaging with stakeholders, managing risk, project issues and project billing, measuring, and testing quality, assisting with pre or post sales demos, and delivering projects on time and to budget.
Your background will have covered delivery of application software implementation projects. You have an understanding of software solutions such as ERP, field service management, MRP, accounting software, construction software, financial services software, merchant or e-commerce solutions, property management, transport management solutions, legal software, invoicing solutions or anything similar.
Ideally you have a high level of education and a recognised qualification in project management methodologies, such as Prince 2 or AMP. You are a star at managing client expectations, and the consultants, and building good relationships, but with a firm hand.
Personally, you are outgoing, a stickler for detail, you drive improvements and manage change seamlessly, motivate and guide people effectively, deal with pressure calmly but have plenty of grit and determination.
The job is hybrid working from home, but with some office days from time to time, plus some visits to client sites. Ideally you will live somewhere from the Midlands to the south, east or west coasts of England.
