- Description
This Application Support role can be fully remote, or you can come into the office whenever you want to; it is fully flexible. The company is a mid-sized boutique software business with a history spanning over 30 years and a customer base of around 200 who are long standing clients.
They sell, implement, develop, and support Pegasus Opera, Pegasus CIS, Pegasus Capital Gold, and Sage 50 solutions covering accounting and finance, supply chain, business intelligence, manufacturing, distribution, HR & payroll, CRM & sales, and document management.
They also have a talented development team who can bespoke and customise the software to meet individual clients needs and who build data driven content management, and e-Commerce websites for their clients.
They need a friendly, personable Support Consultant who has worked with accounting or ERP software solutions and is organised, motivated and professional, and able to work confidently in a work from home position. Salary to £33k with regular reviews. If you have Pegasus Opera skills, then so much the better, otherwise they are very happy with a talented application support person who would like to cross train to Pegasus Opera and Sage 50. Knowledge of SQL for queries and reporting would also be useful.
There are currently 3 people supporting Pegasus Opera and the support team of 8 people are collaborative, knowledgeable, and fun to be part of. They are in the process of evaluating an additional ERP solution, and have shortlisted SAP Business One, Acumatica and Sage Intacct, which would be something new that could offer their clients as an alternative to Pegasus and Sage 50 and would also give you the chance to learn a new product.
You will provide email, telephone, and remote connection support to the customer base, and will get involved with SQL queries, report writing, upgrades and some customer training as you progress.
There would be an opportunity of going out to see clients, doing some consultancy, implementation and training. The role could evolve to include some consultancy work if you wished to go down that route, or you can just stick to home based support, it would be entirely your choice.
