- Description
This is a gem of a job, and a real opportunity to thrive and make your mark, in a hybrid new business sales and account management role, with an ERP solution provider, who have gone from strength to strength in their first 6 years of trading, and already have almost 50 people in the company, and 92 clients. You will work alongside the Sales Director, the Sales Manager, and another account manager, initially doing 50% lead generation and 50% account management. Within your first two years the role will evolve into 20% lead generation, 40% account management and 40% new business sales. So there is lots of career development and progression for you here. Starting salary to £40k base, and circa £40k commission.
The current clients are mainly in the wholesale and distribution, Fintech, and manufacturing sectors and you will be able to reference every single one of their clients, most of whom have come from recommendations based on the quality of the implementations here. Of the existing customers, roughly 12 of them take up most of the company's time, and these 12 spend a lot of money and are therefore very significant to the business, so the other 80 clients get left alone too much, to an extent. And that's where your account management skills will be so vital over time.
At the start you will be generating leads for the Sales Manager and Sales Director, you will be part of the sales process, but your actual sales revenue will come from account management of your own clients list. As you grow, learn, and develop, you be able to do more and more of your own "Lead to Deal" wins, so this is a stepping stone to doing full new business sales of an ERP solution, and licenses and support contracts.
The company sells and implements the number one cloud ERP solution, Oracle NetSuite and the SuiteSuccess product and methodology, as well as another leading ERP solution from a top 5 vendor, so they are well placed in being able to offer a client a choice if NetSuite is not right for their needs. They have a good database with a lot of leads but much of it is dormant and there isn't much organisation and qualification, so the database needs a lot of work from you.
They are looking for a bright spark, someone ambitious, who wants to learn a top cloud ERP solution, and to nurture and develop the existing clients, and build a pipeline of qualified prospects. You will have experience of lead generation and account managing software clients in the ERP or Accounting software space and will be keen to develop your new business sales techniques and build a career doing full life cycle sales, alongside account management. You are really good at qualifying clients, you use business networking tools to your advantage, and to research your markets, you can assist with designing sales & marketing campaigns, you build great relationships, and you manage and deliver on your sales forecasts.
The Sales Manager is in the office 3 days a week and the Sales Director is in most days, and there are normally lots of Implementation Consultants in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday. So the more time in the office you can spend the better in the early days, the stronger the relationships and depth of knowledge you will gain. For your first month, 3 days a week in the office will be the minimum, then once you've got to grips with the software and systems, and built relationships with your colleagues, you can do one or two days a week in the office and three or four days from home if you wish to.
Why is this an amazing job?
