Description

Account manager for ERP software, for the South West territory so it covers Reading to Cornwall up to Liverpool, ideally you will be based along the M4 corridor, but the location is very flexible.

The job is to look after the 120 clients and find out which of these clients are going to be spending a lot in the next year or two. So you will be trying to find about 20 of the best clients who are going to spend.

Why is this a good job?

  • Rock solid reliable ERP solution.
  • Nice new version available for upgrade
  • Well established company
  • 120 existing clients
  • This is a great long term career opportunity to settle into a solid company and make a very health package.

You'll be an experienced ERP sales and account manager looking for a long term career .

Home based with lots of visiting clients

This ERP software author has a 20 year track record of delivering ERP into the Construction space. They tend to have clients in the small to medium sized builder market. This job is to be the account manager for about 120 existing clients all these clients have an existing support contract and pay to use the ERP software worth about £500K pa.

£45K base + £4800 car allowance and up to £40,000 in commission

As an account manager you need to upsell some of these clients and do 6 deals each year.

The existing Account manager was doing £300K to £400K in additional spend, plus the recurring revenue.

This role also includes some new business sales working with the leads that come through from marketing and also finding some of your own leads. So you must be prepared to do some cold calling yourself, not a lot, but some.

A new deal might be £30K in services and £30K license fees.

Meanwhile you need to manage the rest of them and keep them happy, selling them:

Upgrades

Extra consultancy and training

New modules

Extra licenses

That is your bread and butter, then you need to dig out the big spenders.

You will be an experienced account manager, selling software solutions that combine software, license and Professional Services fees. You will be comfortable visiting clients on your own to do the entire sales process, working with Pre sales consultants for Demonstrations but doing all the closing yourself.
