Description

This is a terrific role for a Sales Executive / BDM to be office based working for an award winning ERP Software Company selling world class solutions. As a long standing and well respected ERP software reseller they have a superb track record for winning big deals, doing interesting projects and retaining customers. Staff are treated well very well and their employee retention rate is amazing.

They are looking for a talented Sales Executive who has experience of B2B sales of Application Software such as ERP, CRM, Payroll, HR, Time & Attendance, Accounts Software, Construction or Property Software, Legal Software or anything similar. The starting salary is from £30,000 to £40,000 with a good car allowance and around £60k in commission, uncapped. So there is significant money to be made here and targets are realistic and achievable.

This role might suit someone with 1 or 2 years application software sales experience who is looking for a significant step up in a mentoring and training environment with a long term future.

To sell this level of ERP software (mid to large range) can take anything from 2 months to 18 months and deals involve a drawn out process with lots of client meetings and specialised software demonstrations. However deals are never less than £100k and often closer to £1 million. So if you do one deal a month you will be making over £100k in total earnings.

As a sales person here you will benefit from a superb marketing department and solid lead generation, plus they are the first choice for the vendor to pass leads over to on complicated solutions, so they get plenty of leads that way too. You will still need to do some lead generation for yourself and should be happy to do some cold calls and the usual marketing emails.

You will work with phenomenal ERP Pre-Sales Consultants who can help you learn the product.

You will take clients through the sales process, keeping track of the different decision makers and making sure the key sponsors remain "on side". This is a very consultative selling environment as the client knows they have a need; you just need to understand the issues fully.

The current sales team is run by the Sales Director who is an industry legend and a super nice guy and rainmaker, then below him is the Sales Manager and his team of 2 Sales Execs. This role reports to the Sales Manager who is a real mentor, coach and trainer. His aim is to help you to grow into the role and develop properly into ERP sales, rather than taking on someone with lots of previous experience.

You will have a couple of years' experience in software sales with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding your sales goals, strong listening and problem solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will understand the consultative sales process and will be really good at engaging with your customers. Confidence, enthusiasm and strong motivation to succeed are vital for the role and you will be good at working and collaborating in a small team.
