SAP Business One Consultant, Internal Role, large end user site

Interesting role for a SAP Business One Consultant / SAP Business One Business Analyst to work for a very large corporate company with a portfolio of companies across the UK. They have three core businesses and this role is to work in one of their companies, which is in the foods area and currently turns over around £300 million. Salary range is c. £40-45k plus car allowance and benefits are good including 5 weeks holiday, flexible working hours, private health care, childcare vouchers, many discounts on products, and an enhanced pension scheme.

This foods business has grown by acquisition and has 9 different companies in the UK, each with up to 8 of their own depots. So there is a very large network of branches and offices. Their chosen ERP solution is SAP Business One which is currently implemented and up and running in 5 of the companies with 250 users so far. They are continuing to roll out SAP Business One and Boyum and expect, with continued acquisition, to grow the SAP Business One team from its current 1 person to 4 people over the next 2 years. They have a separate technical team and a software development team.

So this is a job for an experienced SAP Business One Consultant or Business Analyst looking to expand their functional consulting experience and grow their knowledge of the features and functionality available in SAP Business One. The business covers many areas including supply chain, distribution, finance, e-commerce, manufacturing, export, demand planning, hand held devices and warehouse management.

The role is very much focused on working with the users doing requirements, business processing and SAP B1 training. You will need to have strong customer facing functional consulting with in depth SAP Business One ERP software implementation experience. You will be adaptable, you enjoy challenges, you are personable and able to relate to people at all levels from the board room to the factory floor.

You will be working with their UK companies and offices through the whole SAP B1 ERP implementation process. But because you will essentially be working for the same business, you will continue to improve the B1 solution, rather than how it works in a reseller consulting role, where you tend to be more focused on getting the systems signed off and moving on to the next client. This means you will have a chance to really get the best out of the functionality available in SAP Business One and Boyum, and constantly expand your SAP Business One skills and gain in depth knowledge of the product at a different level.

You will travel to different sites all over the UK, but you will have full responsibility for organising your own diary and deciding where you want to be and when you want to be there. You will be based from their head office but only need to go there occasionally, so essentially you can live anywhere.

But the main focus for the next 18 - 24 months will be their largest site which is near Bury, and 3 other Northern sites in Manchester, Leeds and Durham so proximity to these areas would be the best location for you to be based in. You can claim expenses from your home to whichever site, branch or office you are working at.

This is a terrific SAP Business One internal consulting role where you will learn continuously, have a lot of autonomy, get to know people in depth and have a lot of variety.
