Description

Application Support Consultant with ERP or Accounting Software expertise, or support of similar application software such as Property Management software, Construction software, Dealer Management software, Supply Chain or Distribution software or Ecommerce. Our client would pay up to £28k for a really strong ERP Software Support Consultant but is more likely to pay around the £25k mark for someone with 1 or 2 years' experience in this area.

This software consultancy has grown at a fast pace over the last 10 years and now employs around 40 people. This role is to work in their busy, dynamic and fun application support team based in Southampton; you will support a range of ERP products including their own specialist business software solutions and you will log and track your calls using MS Dynamics CRM.

They are winning a lot of new business, and this combined with promoting one of their Application Support Consultants means that they need an additional person on the support team. You will get full cross training in their products and can either grow your career within application support and training, or move into ERP software consulting and implementation in the future. They are really good at looking after their staff and making sure you reach your full potential.

They are looking for someone who is bright, enthusiastic, a good team player and wants to work in a fast paced environment in an expanding software company. You will have a background in application support working for a software reseller, vendor or internal end user, probably with ERP or Finance / Accounting software (Sage 200, Dynamics NAV, SAP Business One, Epicor, Infor M3, SunSystems, Efacs, Iris Exchequer etc.). But they will happily look at experience of any application support in other niche areas, like Property Management software, HR, WMS, Construction software, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Dealer Management Software, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution or Ecommerce software.

Why is this a good job?

The great thing here is the team, the people, the team spirit. You will learn about ERP and about databases, you will get to do 2nd and 3rd line application support once you have learnt the software. You will share your issues with other team members and learn from their knowledge, plus you will have a laugh, and you will get to enjoy the social side of being in a fun, growing and progressive company.

You will support your clients by telephone, email and remote connection plus help with training and general troubleshooting and will be the kind of person who "gets the job done". If you are a calm, motivated, enthusiastic Application Support Consultant with a thirst for learning and a love of problem solving and giving your clients a great service, this could be just the job for you.
