- Description
IT Manager role in Wakefield, West Yorkshire - knowledge of accounting software or ERP software is essential - the company use Sage 200 as their software solution and as IT Manager here you will look after all software, hardware and infrastructure. This will include the Sage 200 side of the business which is the accounts / finance, back office systems and HR and payroll, as well as the infrastructure side which includes servers, networks, hardware, MS Exchange and Mail servers.
Salary up to £42,500 depending on your level of experience.
This company has been in business for 25 years and has an excellent client base and reputation in their market where they run large projects for retail customers. As IT Manager, you will manage, evaluate and control their information technology and systems, run the IT budget, identify areas for improvement, develop IT systems and policies, ensure network access and backup procedures and audit their systems.
They are looking for someone who has experience of Accounting or ERP software implementation or support as well as hands on experience looking after servers, networks and hardware and can run and support their IT systems efficiently and evaluate and improve procedures. A solid understanding of Exchange / Mail servers is also required, along with excellent time management and organisational skills and good all round knowledge of IT software and hardware systems.
You may already be an IT Manager in a similar role, or you may be a Sage 200 Consultant (or ERP / Accounting Software Consultant) looking to move to an end user in an internal role which does not require travel. You will be capable of managing all their application software as well as hardware, networks and infrastructure and will have good problem solving skills, with the ability to identify problem areas and come up with solutions.
Additional experience of Excel, Access, VBA, or project management methods would all be useful skills along with an understanding or experience of software implementation. You will work with their Sage 200 partner when required, to improve or make amendments to the software.
