Software Implementation Consultant - Manufacturing/ Engineering

This Software Company are hugely successful in the ERP and Manufacturing Software area and have offices all over the UK and abroad. Their main office is based in the West Midlands, but the current projects are along the M4 corridor around Reading, so if you live anywhere to the south of Birmingham and north of Southampton, this would be ideal.

Experience of implementing ERP software in an engineering or manufacturing environment is essential (such as engineer to order, project manufacturing, discrete manufacturing, make to order, design to manufacture) and ideally you will be an engineer or will have come from an engineering background or will have studied it at degree level. Salary is up to £45k based on your skills, plus a £5k car allowance.

They sell a range of ERP and Manufacturing software solutions. In the UK, they are having real success selling a new manufacturing/engineering software product, which is a web based, lean software solution, which automates manufacturing intelligence and provides MES and MOM functionality. This is a very specific piece of software for discrete manufacturers using the lean methodology and specifically following the "no waste" philosophy.

In the USA, more than 400 companies have bought this solution; it is a true leading edge manufacturing software product, and 10 years from now this type of solution will be the norm. Every part of the manufacturing process is documented through images and video; there is very little documentation and reading; the tolerances on all the machines are explained easily and the safety gear is all displayed. This allows for quick production with low waste. (think about building Lego from the instruction book).

The software is bang up to date .Net, SQL Server and web browser based.

As an Implementation Consultant implementing this state-of-the-art manufacturing software, you will work with the people on the shop floor in the factory, so you will need a background of manufacturing, production or engineering. It is essential that you understand exactly what is going on in the process, in able to provide effective consultancy services and software implementation.

You will be home based working on client sites, you will work with other software Implementation Consultants, Project Managers and of course, develop great relationships with your clients.

Because of the businesses that they work with (many of which require security clearance), you must have a British passport, and need to have lived in the UK for at least 10 years, with no other nationality.
