ERP Application Support 3rd Line and 4GL Programming

Third Line ERP Support Consultant with some programming skills - Kidderminster Software Co.

This is a hybrid role for a seasoned ERP Support Consultant who has experience of 3rd Line Support and a background in an original programming language or 4GL. You need to offer solutions for 1st and 2nd Line escalations and will be familiar with indexed file structures to enable you to debug errors in programs. Starting salary to £35k plus private health insurance, pensions, vouchers and 5 weeks' holiday.

This business software company is very successful and has grown to over 200 staff over the past 30 years. Their ERP software has many modules, the core ones being: stock control, accounting, distribution, warehouse management, sales order processing, CRM and business intelligence.

So you must have a background supporting ERP solutions, either working for a reseller or software consultancy, or in an internal support role or perhaps as an IT Manager supporting ERP solutions. Plus you need some programming skills (4GL) to debug programs and to be able to write programmes to extract and correct data. Knowledge of Linux Servers, SQL and Windows would all be beneficial as well.

You will be someone with initiative who loves solving problems, is patient and methodical, a logical thinker, and has good interpersonal skills. This is a key role in the application support team as you will be the point of escalation for first and second line support analysts.

You will work with all teams throughout the company including support, software development, sales & marketing and infrastructure. They will train you up in their own ERP software and will give you plenty of support initially until you are familiar with it.
