- MIS Manager / IT Manager / Project Manager with strong ERP software, MS SQL and accounting software experience, based near Southall in Middlesex, to £65k plus bonus of up to 10% and company benefits. This new role is to work for a manufacturing, distribution and import / export company in a niche consumer market. They have 120 staff at the moment (and are growing rapidly), but still retain a family feel with a really good working environment where everyone is on first name terms. This entrepreneurial, privately owned and extremely successful company started business sourcing quality European food products 25 years ago, and now turns over more than £26 million. They produce a lot of their own products and they have a very large site with office, chilled goods and factory space, and are investors in people. One of the unique experiences here is the opportunity to go on visits abroad from time to time, to see where their products come from and meet the local suppliers. Their IT technology is built around a SQL database driven, modern ERP software solution that caters for their niche market and includes financial ledgers, sales, purchase and works orders, costing, manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, warehousing, stock control, CRM, and monthly management accounts. They have a terrific CRM system that gives you access to a wealth of customer info, as well as tools for product costing and labelling, and dashboards. Communications are the latest VOIP telephone network technology which also supports a growing band of home users through Juniper VPNs for remote access. As MIS Manager / ERP IT Manager you will report to the Financial Controller and manage a team of 2. You will need to have a strong commercial understanding of the business processes of a manufacturing and distribution company, together with an accountant's eye for detail, and as a Project Manager you continue to enhance and grow their ERP software suite so it will be fit to guide board members decisions as the company grows. You will also look after the software, hardware, data, telephony and infrastructure of the business. The role: *Project managing all ERP software, IT and hardware projects *Managing the development of the management accounts formats *Developing MIS / BI reporting systems, using Microsoft Reporting Services,Excel *Improving and developing the master product database (NPD, labelling, product costs) *Supporting desktop applications and the ERP software *Working with all departments to gather requirements and produce and manage business analysis reports *Making recommendations to the board on software and hardware investment *Running staff training programs for all systems and software *Managing outsourced IT resources *Improving, designing and developing the budgeting systems and processes *Identifying and implementing business process improvements What are they looking for? *A solid track record in managing and maintaining integrated ERP software solutions such as NetSuite, SAP Business One, LinkFresh, Dynamics NAV, Plex, Dynamics AX, SAP Business ByDesign, Syspro, Sage 1000, Sage ERP X3, de Facto ERP, Infor, Epicor, IFS, Ross, Movex M3, Sage 200, UNIT4 or similar *Good knowledge of accounting *Experience of supply chain, manufacturing, importing or distribution would be useful *Able to innovate in the development of MI and ERP Solutions *Report Writing skills (MS SQL, Excel, Reporting Services) *Strong business process and analysis skills *Broad understanding of general IT hardware, software and infrastructure *Personal integrity and desire to work in a company that is honest, ethical and without politics *Manage and develop people effectively *You can communicate at all levels from the factory to the board, and have great people skills *Focused on internal customer service and passionate about right first time approach *Energised, motivated and enthusiastic *Willing to give time to contribute to good causes outside the business This is a superb opportunity for an ERP and accounting specialist with good general IT, software, hardware and telephony knowledge to be responsible for the implementation and continuing development of ERP solutions and business processes, and manage a growing IT department. You may well be in a similar IT Management role looking after ERP software, or you may be working in an ERP Consulting or Project Management position at the moment and looking to move to an internal end user role with no travel.
