Description

ERP Software Implementation Consultants with Finance or Manufacturing (or Distribution) - home based anywhere in the UK, national client base. £55k + bonus + car allowance - global software vendor.

Key jobs with a world class software company - this renowned FTSE 100 ERP software author and vendor is looking to add 7 more ERP Implementation Consultants to its rapidly growing UK professional services team which is currently 15 strong and is expected to grow to 40 people by the end of this year. Essential skills are at least 3 years' experience as an ERP Software Implementation Consultant (working for a reseller, vendor or consultancy in a client facing role) with either strong finance implementation, or strong manufacturing & distribution (both).

Salary range is from £48-55k plus a bonus of up to 12% of salary (which is a mix of individual and company performance), £5k car allowance and healthcare, good pension and gym facilities. The roles are all home based working remotely. A typical week would be 3 days working on clients' sites nationwide and 2 days from home, and you would probably visit head office one or two times a month.

The UK ERP division of the company is expanding and the Professional Services team revenue is targeted at £3 million this year and between £5 and 10 million next year, so there will be very good career opportunities for people joining now. This team is going through massive growth and change, so this is an environment that will suit dynamic people who can embrace change, people who are happy to make suggestions about improving things but are also happy to enjoy some of the growing pains involved in a start-up type of environment.

Their ERP product is a mid-market solution and is an extremely robust product. There are two dedicated trainers in the PS group so the ERP Consultants are focused on the functional aspects of the role. The ERP team is split into 2 distinct groups: The ERP Finance/Accounting software group and the ERP Manufacturing & Distribution software group.

For both groups the Implementation Consultant / Professional Services Consultant role involves taking the client requirements and doing the architecture design, functional consulting and specification for the software developers, with some UAT super user training, which is not typically classroom training, but more one on one.

A normal ERP software implementation project will have one Finance Consultant and one Manufacturing & Distribution Consultant and you will see the project through the entire lifecycle to go-live. So, you will be able to see your involvement with making decisions about the software configuration come to fruition. This is deliberate so that Consultants get more satisfaction from their work and the client gets continuity.

As an ERP Finance Consultant here, you need to be able to work through the design of a chart of accounts with an FD and be comfortable with complex accounting solutions including multi-company and multi-currency accounts.

As an ERP Manufacturing & Distribution Consultant you need a track record of BOTH manufacturing and distribution software implementation projects with mid-market ERP solutions.

The initial training on the product takes about 3 months and during that period you will not go on site. You will learn their ERP solution through formal training courses and once you have passed the certification exams, you will start shadowing an experienced PS Consultant.

So essentially you need to be an energetic, enthusiastic, driven and well organised ERP Implementation Consultant. With three years or more working for a software reseller, vendor or consultancy you will have a strong grasp on ERP software implementation and functional consulting and will have worked on either the accounting & finance modules, or the manufacturing & distribution modules.

You will be excited at the prospect of working for a global, forward thinking, innovative software vendor which has seen spectacular growth and has more than five million clients worldwide.

If this sounds like you and you are keen to find out more, contact Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing.
