- Description
Interesting and busy role for an IT Manager / MIS Manager / Systems Manager with ERP & Manufacturing skills and Report Writing experience. Or you may be currently working as an ERP Consultant and looking for a job with no travel in an internal role, or you may even be an ERP Business Analyst. Starting salary to £50k plus company benefits; the location near Kidlington is convenient for people living near Oxford, Banbury, Chipping Norton, Swindon and Aylesbury.
This new position is based just north of Oxford working for a highly successful manufacturing company who are developing and building products at the cutting edge of technology. They have around 60 employees at present, only 12 of whom are currently users of their ERP solution and they have very little report writing capability, so some of the key aspects of this role will be to find out the business requirements across the company, get all the users on board with the ERP system and to start generating the reports needed by the management and stake holders.
This is a highly innovative and entrepreneurial company that plans to double in size over the next two years, so there are going to be plenty of interesting projects to work on, and plenty more ERP software implementation to be done.
Their technology is currently a modern Microsoft Dynamics ERP (AX) software solution, SQL driven and developed in .Net that caters for their market and includes finance, manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, stock control, sales & marketing, CRM, and management accounts.
As MIS Manager / IT Manager / Systems Manager, you will report to the Operations Manager. You need commercial understanding of the business processes of a manufacturing company, together with an eye for detail, and you should be capable of engaging the stakeholders and users, looking at their business processes and developing their ERP suite to its full potential as the company grows.
You will liaise will all departments to gather requirements and produce reports, develop MIS and BI reporting systems, identify and implement business process improvements and manage training programs for the ERP software as well as managing all IT software, hardware and ERP needs. You will work with their ERP reseller to develop and improve the system where necessary, as well as overseeing the usual telephony, data and digital systems.
Your Profile:
- A solid track record with ERP software solutions
- ERP implementation & analysis skills with Dynamics AX, Dynamics NAV, Proteus, Syteline, Efacs, Sage ERP X3, Oracle, SAP Business One, Sage L500, Greentree, Sage 200, WinMan, Syspro, QAD, JD Edwards, Sage 1000, Infor, Priority, Epicor, IFS, SunSystems or similar
- Good knowledge of the manufacturing area
- Report Writing skills (MS SQL, Excel, Jet Reports, Crystal reports etc.)
- Strong communicator, able to build rapport with stakeholders and users at all levels
- Functional skills, business processes, requirements, training
- Broad understanding of IT hardware and software infrastructure
- Positive, enthusiastic, attention to detail
This is an excellent opportunity to take on an internal ERP software role and to be responsible for the implementation and continuing development of ERP solutions and business projects, and manage a small IT department.
You may well be in a similar IT Management role, or you may be working in an ERP consulting position or as an ERP Business Analyst. Please get in touch with Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing for further information or to apply.
