Description

SENIOR ERP CONSULTANT WITH FINANCE OR ACCOUNTING

New role for an experienced ERP Implementation Consultant who is strong on the accounting / finance software modules, to work for a small, successful and growing ERP software company. Their software offering is a full business solution encompassing multi-currency financials (nominal, sales and purchase ledgers, invoicing and credit control) as well as retail, distribution, inventory control, quotations, CRM and sales & marketing, and is mobile / tablet enabled and available on premise or in the cloud.

This is a major opportunity to become 2nd in command in 3 or 4 years. But the role right now is full life cycle ERP software implementation and managing your own projects. Starting salary is up to £55k (negotiable if you are exceptional) plus £5k car allowance.

The company currently has a software implementation team of 3 and they typically do around 7 to 8 software implementations every year. They have a great pipeline and could do up to 15 implementations per year, but they need to grow the consulting team to do this. At the moment the MD often has to get involved in running the projects himself and helping with implementations, so this new hire will hopefully free up his time.

They are looking for a Senior ERP Implementation Consultant with strong finance / accounting project experience to do:

  • ERP & Accounting Software Implementation
  • Client Facing Consultancy
  • Project Management
  • People Management

As the Senior ERP Consultant, you will take over once the deal has been signed and be responsible for scheduling the entire project. You will pick the team and organise the project work load and ensure it is delivered successfully to go-live. So that will include meeting the clients, taking the requirements, configuring the software to fit, managing the project, managing the client's expectations, scheduling the work, managing your team, data migration, software implementation and hand holding through the process.

The company are successful and very profitable. As they are small and growing this is a chance to make your mark and have a senior software consulting role with lots of opportunity to progress. The potential to become right hand person to the MD is very real over the next few years.

You should live reasonably locally to the Redditch, Birmingham, Solihull, Kidderminster, Worcester, or Coventry areas as you will need to be in their offices a fair amount of the time, and you should be happy to travel to client sites to work on projects.

They are looking for someone who has worked in the software implementation field for at least 5 years and has more than 3 years finance/accounting software and ERP software implementation skills. You will be ambitious, happy to take the lead and have excellent client facing skills.

You will be motivated, have a spring in your step and be the type of person that thrives in a small company environment where you often need to switch roles and wear many hats, and can take responsibility for issues and be brave enough to do the right thing (ideally) or at least do something, when needed.

If this sounds like you, please contact Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing for further information.
