Description

ERP Software Implementation Consultant with accounting / finance modules expertise, based from home with travel to clients. Solid, profitable, very well run software reseller with a great track record and over 35 years in the business. Base salary to £45k, £5k car allowance, group bonus, plus personal utilisation bonus of between £5k and £12k per annum.

This software consultancy has a range of ERP and Accounting Software solutions that they sell, and this group is focused on 2 specific finance software solutions. They have a team of Implementation Consultants and Project Managers working on projects for clients who tend to be Manufacturing Companies (especially discrete manufacturing), Food and Drink Manufacturing and Distribution Companies and Fashion / Apparel or Furniture Manufacturing.

These projects all need implementations of the accounting & finance modules and one of the finance consultants here is retiring; incredibly he is in his 70's and has continued working for so long because he really enjoys the job!

A typical software implementation project is 50 users and the finance aspect of it, is normally 25 days of consulting. These projects are from 3 finance users up to 25 users and include the usual general ledgers, sales & purchase order processing and accounts payable / accounts receivable. A complex project would involve multi-currency, multi-company accounts. The projects normally also have an element of costing, so any experience of job costing would also be a bonus.

The accounting modules of these 2 software solutions have recently been redeveloped. They are pretty, easy to use Windows based products; clients like them and they are selling well. As a Finance Implementation Consultant, they are good to work on, easy to deal with and refreshingly up to date. The software can be sold as on premise or the cloud versions. You will learn both ERP products inside out.

You will have a solid background in the implementation of accounting & finance software as part of ERP projects and you will have worked as a Software Implementation Consultant and understand the need to travel to clients across the UK. You can take the requirements, liaise with your clients, make changes to the software where required, and ensure your clients are getting the best return and fully understand the software.

You will be based from home and will probably need to go into the head office in the West Midlands once each month. Their Consultants live all over the UK from Leeds, to Bristol, to London, to Southampton to Sheffield and Colchester, so it really doesn't matter where you are based, as long as you are happy in a consulting role and travelling to client sites where required.

You will a seasoned and experienced Implementation Consultant or Professional Services Consultant with good knowledge of the accounting & finance elements of ERP software, confident in your ability and keen to work on interesting projects.

You will enjoy this job because the software is solid, the company are extremely well organised and sell their projects correctly, so you will have enough time to do a decent job for each client's implementation. This is a company with over 500 ERP clients; they know what they are doing and they do it well. They are looking for a likeminded experienced ERP Consultant with finance, who can get on with projects and does not need to be micro managed - someone who can ask for help when they need it. You will be polite, personable, professional, calm, collected, and a solid, safe pair of hands.

You will shadow the existing Implementation Consultant for 8 weeks and attend training courses, as well as eLearning studies of the software products.

Excellent prospects and a great place to work.
