- Description
Project Manager required for a specialist ERP software company who sell and implement software solutions (cloud and on premise) for Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Distribution, Warehouse Management, Fleet Management, Order Management, Online Orders and Finance. This role is home based with travel, your ideal location would be anywhere in the North of England down to the Midlands. To £50k plus car allowance and benefits.
As a Project Manager you will run projects from start to finish, from £200k projects to £2 million projects. You will start on the smaller deals and work up, so a four month project would be a likely start. The trick is to understand the software, understand the client's needs and somehow weave them together. The challenge is to manage the clients, the resources and the implementation consultants, and to run the project for the duration, adapting to changing business scenarios and managing risks and budgets.
The company has a 30 year track record, they employ around 100 people and are the market leader in this space. Their specialist logistics and warehousing solution integrates seamlessly with traditional ERP systems and has a lot of added functionality such as dashboarding, web portals, track & trace, sign on glass, and electronic proof of delivery. A typical client would be about 100 users and the deal would be worth £700k, so these are nice big chunky projects. A small deal would be 30 users.
They need a Project Manager who can run these projects from start to finish, someone who can be upfront with the customer, cares about the client and can make the project happen smoothly. You will have worked as a client facing PM for a software company, reseller or vendor and ideally will have experience with similar software such as ERP, WMS, Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution etc.
You will need to go into the office once a week (near Warrington). Clients are UK based but they have offices in Australasia; you will not be expected to work abroad, but can request it in the future if you want to.

- Consultants want easy projects closer to home
- Projects only ever get longer
- Budgets only ever get smaller
