Description

This role is for a bright, enthusiastic Application Support Consultant who has worked in 1st Line Support on ERP or MRP software, or similar applications such as Property or Construction Software, HR & Payroll Software, Legal Software, Accounting Software or Pensions Software, eCommerce or Retail Software, Rentals or Lettings Software or Dealer Management or Automotive Software.

They are located just north of Birmingham, and a wide salary range is on offer from £20k to £30k depending on your current level of experience. If you have any SQL or SQL Server skills, this would also be beneficial.

The company is a successful software business, and author & supplier of an ERP solution for manufacturing & distribution companies with full integration to eCommerce and retail, enabling them to provide complete solutions for any combination of manufacturer, distributor, retailer or web sales operation.

Their software product sits on the latest .NET technology and is developed to n-tier standards using 100% .NET managed code. In tandem with Microsoft SQL Server database and all associated Microsoft tools, it provides a very powerful and leading-edge ERP software solution.

You will be joining the team of 7 Application Support Consultants work with an additional 5 people who work in the technical services team, providing a superb level of customer support to their client base of over 300 clients. Some of the clients have 50 users across all areas of the business including sales, manufacturing, accounts & invoicing, warehousing, distribution and eCommerce. So the calls and emails that come in to the Support team are interesting and varied.

The Applications Support team work through telephone calls and also get a lot of support tickets through the on-line portal. They use their own software to log and track the calls, which is a nice touch.

You will need to have application support experience within any application software sector, so it could be ERP or CRM or HR or Property Management software, Payroll, MRP or Finance or Accounting software, DMS or Automotive, Rentals, Leasing or Estate Agency Software, or eCommerce, Retail or similar software products.
