Description

ERP Software Implementation Consultant role, home based with travel. Ideally you will have worked with some similar application software modules such as purchase order processing, sales order processing, eCommerce, accounting & finance, stock control or supply chain or similar.

So you will have experience covering requirements gathering, configuration, software implementation and user training with software such as ERP, MRP, Builders Merchants, Construction software, Accounting & Finance software, eCommerce, Distribution or similar. Starting salary from £30 - £40k plus car allowance (happy to look at the more junior end and develop you, or to take on more experienced Consultants).

This software consultancy sells two different ERP products in the SME space, typically with 10 - 100 users. This role concentrates on one of these products which is geared towards merchants, distributors and wholesalers. The solution is built with .Net and SQL Server and has super functionality. The average implementation project is around 30 consulting days and 30-50 users.

They are growing well this year and have a big pipeline of work, in fact this will be their 3rd new Implementation Consultant hire this year as they expand the team to cover the new business.

You will be a hands-on Functional Consultant covering the full range of ERP modules and features from accounting to mobile warehousing, to distribution, manufacturing, sales, CRM, eCommerce, dashboards, POP, SOP, job costing, inventory control, signature capture, hand-held devices and business intelligence. You also need to be able to work with SQL, doing some scripting and SQL queries.

You will understand learn about the clients' requirements and their business processes through workshops and business meetings. You will talk to the client about the implementation of the ERP solution and what processes are easy to fit and what needs to change either through development of the software or through a change in the business process. So you will be having detailed business discussions about how they operate and the best way to get the solution working and delivering benefit to them. After go-live you will get involved with training the users.

You have a background of functional software implementation working on ERP (or very similar) software, you like meeting clients and you are happy to stay away for the night when needed.

They have a great product built on up to date technology, clients love it and they will give you a lot of autonomy and freedom. The Consulting Director is a terrific guy to work with, knowledgeable, approachable and friendly. They have 2 offices in the UK so you can be based almost anywhere from Leeds, to Chesterfield, to Worcester, to London, to Basingstoke or the South Coast.

The best thing is that you will get to see a really wide variety of projects through, from start to finish and have a chance to get some ownership of software implementations as they happen and to develop strong relationships with your clients.
