IT Manager - Networks, Windows Server, Exchange, VOIP

New role for an IT Manager with good all-round IT experience across technical support, networks and phones and day to day management of IT operations. There are no line management responsibilities here.

Your skills will include areas such as Windows Servers (essential), networking, Windows, MS Exchange, MS Office, Cloud telephony, Terminal Server, back-ups, and desktop upgrades. This is a permanent role with a starting salary from £40-48k, based in a lovely part of Central London well placed for Great Portland Street, Euston, Goodge Street and Regents Park tube stations.

As the IT Manager you will look after the day to day IT and telecoms needs of the company and be the main point of contact for any IT related matters. The systems are all Windows based, with Windows Server AD, DHCP and DNS, Exchange Cloud, VMWare and VPN, Terminal Server, MS Office 2010 - 2016, LAN / WAN networking with TCP/IP, VOIP phone systems, Disaster Recovery Solutions and mobile device management (MDM).

The company is involved in asset investments and management and has a global portfolio worth over £1 billion. Their headquarters are in London (small team of around 30 people) and they have multiple EU offices as well with their own IT management team overseas, with whom you may need to liaise with via video conferencing from time to time. It's a varied and interesting environment that will suit an IT Manager who has had a lengthy career and is looking for a long-term role with stability.

Day to day operations will include planning and developing the IT estate, getting quotes & purchasing new hardware or software when required and doing the installations, scheduling upgrades and doing security back-ups of software and hardware, looking after the networks and VOIP phones, resolving problems and managing faults, ensuring the group complies with software licensing rules, running antivirus software and securing data from cyber-attack, looking after printers and email provision, adding users, password administration and supporting the users with problems. You will also make contributions to data protection & security policies.

A proven track record in IT is essential. They are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable all-rounder who will give long term commitment and is happy running their own show, with no staff responsibilities. You will be a people person who communicates easily with non-technical staff and understands their needs and problems.
