Interesting role for a Project Manager based in Poole, Dorset to work with a busy team of ERP & Accounting software Consultants. Projects are focused on three ERP software solutions and you will work on multiple concurrent projects. Our client is a successful provider of end to end solutions across the ERP and accounting software market and continues to expand. Salary to £45k + £6k car allowance, private healthcare and bonus of around £5k.
They need an additional confident and people focused Software Project Manager with strong project management skills (Prince 2 ideal) and a background in application software projects such as ERP, MRP or accounting software solutions, CRM, Warehouse Management software, Payments solutions, HR & Payroll, Construction software, Legal software, Property Management software, e-Commerce software or similar.
You will have worked on the full life cycle of application software implementation projects from £100k upwards, and should be capable of dealing with complex medium to large scale projects. The company is office centric, so you will be expected to base yourself out of their office in Poole, as well as travelling to client sites and the occasional day working from home.
They are looking for a client focused Project Manager who can engage with key decision makers, consultants and technical staff covering a broad range of clients in many different markets. You need a good understanding of business processes and must have previous experience project managing and delivering full application software solutions to external customers within a software house, reseller or consultancy environment. Typical projects can be anything from smaller 30-40 man days, up to large projects of 200+ man days.
The software is delivered in the cloud and on premise and covers finance & accounting, manufacturing, supply chain, CRM, professional services, purchasing, HR, order processing, sales and marketing and business intelligence. You will work with the clients on their business requirements, manage their expectations, be firm and fair, liaise with the consultants and developers, and manage the whole project process through to delivery.
Your background:
- Applications Software experience - ERP or similar applications
- Strong Project Management experience with a software consultancy, reseller or vendor
- Agile projects and costings
- Prince 2 or similar
- Project Management of ERP infrastructure also useful
- Able to manage multiple, concurrent projects, on time and to budget
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Able to manage project creep and clients' expectations
- Professional and friendly outlook with good people management skills
- Enthusiastic, well presented, organised and motivated
- Quality and client service oriented, pro-active with attention to detail
