- Software Sales Executive / Business Development Manager with experience of selling accounting software (and / or a background or qualification in accounting) to work for a leading vendor of mid-market accounting and financial software products, based in London. Starting salary to £40k with an uncapped OTE of £80-90k plus bonus and car allowance. With local clients in and around the London area, this is a terrific opportunity for an enthusiastic Sales Executive with a track record of selling accounting software or an accounting or auditing background (and sales experience) to work for an award winning software reseller. This is not so much an aggressive sales environment, but is consultative selling of an accounting software product for the charity and not-for-profit sectors. Their software solution is a market leader in this area and so they get lots of referrals and recommendations, consequently achieving 1 deal per month is very realistic. A typical deal is £40K in licence fees and the same in services, so 10 deals per year will get you over target and generating between £80k and £100k in total earnings.Charities and Not-for-Profits are often easier to sell to than commercial organisations, as they are not driven to produce a profit in the same way. The role would suit a communicative, friendly and enthusiastic Sales Executive / BDM with really good accounting software knowledge, who can talk in depth to clients about their accounting needs and problems and how the software will provide the solutions for them. You will have a high level of motivation, the ability to manage your portfolio with strong client facing skills and a sensitive and warm approach. The company produces a high quality accounting solution which is robust, flexible and easy to use and covers every aspect of running a business in these sectors. The package offers solutions for every accounting application including purchasing, expenses, fund accounting, VAT, billing, nominal/ general ledger accounting, donor reporting, management reports and payroll. The company is highly profitable, very stable and still growing. The position of Sales Executive will suit a consultative sales person, rather than a hunter / gatherer. Leads and appointments are provided for you, there is no cold calling involved. You will be supported by a really good marketing team and a shared full time lead generation tele-sales person. You should be a confident, hard working individual; an excellent communicator, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
