ERP Project Manager with Consulting experience for vendor

Top notch role for an ERP Project Manager with Consulting experience to work for an ERP vendor, a global force in accounting and ERP solutions and a centre of excellence. You can be home, or office based but will probably be in the office near Farnborough 1-2 days a week. So your location needs to be within 90 minutes' drive of the Berkshire / Hampshire / Surrey border area. Excellent package - starting salary from £55k to £70k, £11-14k bonus (20% of salary), £5k car allowance, health care, life assurance, share scheme, company incentives and personal development. UK wide travel is normal.

They need a sharp, ambitious ERP Project Manager (at least 3 years' experience) who has managed several ERP projects concurrently of £80k or more and has experience working for a software reseller, software consultancy or software vendor in a client facing position. You will be skilled in using project management tools such as MS Project or similar; you convey an optimistic, confident approach to situations, you are credible, you respond well to change, and people come with you. Formal project management qualifications and a degree level education will be well received.

The company currently employs over 2,000 people globally and has more than 1 million clients. It is in a growth phase and this role is to run projects on their top of their range ERP product which is a complex mid-market solution. The software covers many areas such as distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, inventory management, Sales & CRM and Business Intelligence, but heavy finance projects are common, so multi-currency, multi-company, multi-country systems are all often features of the projects. Their client base is well known FTSE 250 and blue chip companies covering a wide range of industries.

You will manage and run £100-500k projects concurrently (some are up to a £1,000,000), which can range from 60 to 250 consulting days and working here will enhance your professional and commercial project skills and make you a brilliant Project Manager with a great set of skills.

If you are an ERP Project Manager who thrives in a busy team and knows how to balance keeping the clients' happy with maintaining company profitability, you will thrive here. You will be process driven, used to project lists, issue lists, risk registers, decision logs, and project plans and running (and controlling) kick off meetings, managing the budgets and handling escalation. You are not flustered by challenge, can handle awkward clients and get the best out of your teams of Consultants. You can negotiate, influence and develop and you have expertise in project planning, running concurrent projects, progress monitoring, change management and meeting project milestones.
