- Description
Epicor ERP Technical Consultant for a leading Epicor Partner with around 35 employees. You can be home based anywhere in the UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland) or in Southern Ireland. Please note, the job is not in Coventry, that is purely because you have to put a location on an advet on each job board. You can be based anywhere in the UK. Salary range from £35k to £50k, based on level of experience.
This role involves setting up the technical installation and working with the servers. But it also involves taking enhancement specifications and doing development within Epicor, which is a C#, SQL Server and SSRS environment. The job will include working with the clients and would suit someone who is quite extrovert and chatty, someone who wants to understand the business issues and get real satisfaction out of creating good value added solutions for the clients.
You need strong Epicor expertise (3 years' +) particularly the manufacturing & distribution modules, and the following skills:
- Upgrades and installs of SQL Server and Epicor environments
- Writing technical designs for ERP software solutions
- Epicor SSRS and SQL stored procedures / triggers
- MS Visual Studio, C#, Asp.Net, Linq for development of databases
- Epicor Service Connect
- Epicor BAQ's, BPM's, and Dashboards
- Epicor Service Connect
- Web Services / XML for integration
In addition, Epicor SDK, EDI, SQL Server admin, or SSIS experience would all be a big bonus. The more the merrier.
You will also identify business needs and make continuous improvements to clients' systems, customise Epicor to suit their needs, and give the customers added value. Working from home, you need to be organised and motivated, and happy visiting client sites and engaging with customers. Your testing, documentation and estimating skills should be finely honed, and you should be able to run technical training sessions for your clients. You will work with the management team to set up priorities and manage your time efficiently.
