- Description
Software Implementation Consultant / Professional Services Consultant role near Waterloo in London, working for a fast paced, innovative and creative software company that is really going somewhere. Lots of career opportunities for bright, switched-on, enthusiastic Software Implementation Consultants. Salary to £45k with 2 or 3 days a week out on client site (mostly London based clients).
They are looking for an experienced Consultant who has done at least 8 - 10 successful implementations (as a Functional Consultant) of application software such as ERP software, Booking software, Membership software, Property software, Payroll software, Accounting software, Estate Agents software, Merchants software, Recruitment software, Construction software or similar. As it is a Cloud SaaS solution, it would help if you have worked with something similar.
The job is to work with each client understanding the requirements and working out how the software fits, and then implementing the solution and training the users. Quite often the job is about teasing the necessary information from the client as they don't realise that their business processes need to be mapped and they can't get their heads around the initial requirements phase.
This is a web solution that is essentially booking software for rooms within a building, be that meeting rooms, dining rooms, whole apartments or offices or rental properties. So the modules within the software cover things like finding the right venue, room or property and then it takes the client through viewing a room or building, paying the deposit, setting up the standing order, working through the credit check, organising the meet & greet and key pick up, maintenance of the building, and it integrates with finance software for invoicing and payment. It's a really nifty and interesting piece of web-based software.
This role would suit someone who has implemented application software similar to ERP solutions and dealt with a variety of clients from large to small and from the brightest to the slowest and is not afraid to look at complex software functions. You have a passion for IT and cloud products and you get on well with people from all walks of life.
You will start by learning the solution and becoming familiar with all the processes of the software and how it operates. Then you will gain some technical knowledge of the system, so you are then comfortable on a project. Training will be excellent.
The software has standard functionality, there is very little bespoke work so not much need for specification writing or liaising with developers. But you will work with the Product Manager to talk about new features.
