Senior ERP Project Manager x 3

This is a phenomenally successful, world class ERP software company, with over 600 employees; they are a global market leader, Gold Partner, Sunday Times Top 100 business, and winner of multiple awards. They are engaged in very large ERP projects and need at least 3 more Senior ERP Project Managers to come on board. They have a great company culture led by the management team, and even though they are large, they still operate like a small business, with everyone being genuinely friendly and welcoming. Most of their staff are based from home and many are out on site, but they hold plenty of events where you get together and share ideas.

A competitive package is on offer with starting salary up to £80k, £5k car allowance, 10% bonus, and benefits. You will be likely to spend 3 to 4 days a week on client sites, and the other days working from home and at the office, so you can bond with people and know your team. Ideal locations would be anywhere down the centre spine of England, for ease of access to client sites, but they are happy to look at people living anywhere in the UK if you have the experience required. The role is NOT based in Sheffield, this is just a marker point.

They need ERP Project Managers who have a track record and can contribute straight away. So you need at least 5 years hands-on experience of running large ERP software projects, and will have worked in a client-facing, consulting environment, for a software reseller or a software vendor. Expertise on at least one large scale project of 750 days+ is paramount. Many of their ERP projects are over 1000 days, and small-scale ERP project experience, will not cut it here. Essentially ERP projects over £1 million and 750+ man days is what they are looking for.

You are a client focused Project Manager who can motivate, manage and delegate, plan, organise and budget, manage risk and profitability, and negotiate, develop and influence. Your experience will cover project planning, risk management, resources, reports, tracking of deliverables, documentation, progress monitoring, change management and meeting milestones on time and to budget, as well as day to day management of multiple consultants.

Your background:

• 5 years + ERP project management experience, complex 750 days+ projects
• Worked for a reseller or vendor
• Formal structured PM methods, Prince 2, PMP, SureStep etc
• A confident communicator and good problem-solver
• Excellent time management
• Can handle the awkward conversations and manage conflict
• Good at managing client expectations and a good people manager

They work in a variety of sectors but would be particularly interested in Project Managers with expertise in the professional services, manufacturing, multi-channel retail, equipment hire & rental, WMS, logistics and finance areas. They DO NOT work in defence, the public sector or telecoms markets, so these areas are not of interest.
