Description

This role is to manage a team of 10 ERP Implementation Consultants across 3 offices, running the projects keeping track of progress. So the position would suit an experienced ERP Implementation Consultant with project management experience; someone who is used to managing multiple projects, who understands the ERP Implementation process and can appreciate the issues that the Consultants have with getting complex ERP software implemented and live.

The team of 10 consultants will work on projects from 10 users to 100 users and there will typically be 15 live projects at any one time, with another 10 projects stalled that need continual attention to get them back on track.

This is an active role in the senior management of the operations of the ERP software consultancy and implementation business.

You will manage the implementation consultants across three different client sites, and manage the Support team, pushing through the support calls, doing their appraisals and coming up with training plans for them. And you will need to liaise with the developers to discuss new software functionality

There will be a high level of control required of project budgets and timelines, to ensure projects are brought in on time and on budget. As the main client contact after the consultants, you will look after all project related activity, attend kick-off and steering group meetings, and look after project reviews. You will balance your teams' weekly workload, liaise with clients to maximise their ERP projects and help with recruitment of implementation and support staff, reviewing CV's and conducting interviews.

The company is based in Southampton and sells ERP, MRP and BI software solutions to manufacturing, commercial and distribution businesses. They are looking for a Project Manager who has worked with ERP or MRP software, accounting software, construction software, dealer management software, property management software or similar application software projects.

Ideally your background will be as a software implementer or PM, and you will be a good people manager, decisive, organised and fair.
