- Description
Data Analyst / Data Specialist / MI Analyst with SQL Server, SQL scripting, SSRS, to join a bright team working for a business software company based near Gloucester. The role is office based, but there is some flexibility for days working from home. Starting salary to £35k. This is a company where you can really make your mark and play an integral role in reporting and data analysis.
This job is to join a team that support property management software applications. The clients tend to be commercial property and real estate companies, most of them have their own IT department so you will not be dealing with stupid IT problems, this is really 2nd line support, data analysis, data migration and report writing, focused on property management, accounting, maintenance and investment software.
The company has been in business for 20 years, they are winning new clients, and there are lots of upgrade projects, so it is a busy environment and they are growing consistently.
Their software solution is heavily accounting and finance focused, with a web browser front end, lots of BI reporting and fancy functionality relevant to property companies. So you will be talking about
Rent, Repairs, Maintenance, Invoicing and any other property type application.
This job needs someone who understands data analysis, SQL Server, converting and transferring data, Excel, CSV files, and maybe a bit of VBA.
The support team of 4 are a positive happy bunch of people, some of who have strong technical skills and another who has good software development skills.
What they need now is someone who has the following:
SQL Scripting, SQL Statements, SQL Views
SQL Server (application side)
Stored procedures
SSRS knowledge
Data Manipulation
Data Analysis
Data Investigation
Report Writing
VBA useful
The company reward hard work and effort and the prospects for someone joining are to get involved in consulting, training and working on projects with the clients. You could mix this role with some application support and client training, so working on reports and some smaller projects, and there is lots of opportunity to progress into bigger projects, or you can stay working with data if that is what you prefer; the environment is very flexible.
The role is varied so that you will be helping to answer clients' problems, as well as changing routines, writing new reports and making amendments.
Just for clarity this is not a DBA job, you will use SQL Server but from an application perspective not a technical support perspective.
If you love working with data, this could be a perfect job for you. Contact Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis Resourcing for more details.
