Project Manager

This is a highly successful, world class ERP & Retail software company, part of a larger group of ERP & CRM software companies and winner of multiple awards. They are engaged in large Retail ERP projects centred on MS Dynamics 365, AX and NAV and need a Senior ERP Project Manager to come on board. They have a great company culture led by the management team, with everyone being genuinely friendly and welcoming.

Most of their staff are based from home and many are out on site, and you will have to visit their head office near Reading fairly frequently, so it would be ideal if you lived within 1-4 hours' drive of Reading. A competitive package is on offer with starting salary up to £75k, £6k car allowance, and bonus.

They are looking for a skilled Senior Project Manager, who is a strong leader and has a track record of delivering software projects, ideally with ERP or Retail software, but they will also happily look at MRP, Supply Chain, Accounting software, Field Service, Construction, Property Management, Document Management or similar solutions experience.

So you need at least 5 years hands-on experience of running software projects and teams of Consultants, and will have worked in a client-facing, consulting environment, for a software reseller, partner or software vendor. Expertise on large scale projects of 300 days+ would be good. Many of their ERP projects are large and small-scale project experience will not cut it here.

You are a client focused Project Manager who can motivate and lead your team, manage and delegate, plan, organise and budget, manage risk and profitability, and negotiate, develop and influence. Your experience will cover project planning, risk management, resources, project progress reporting, tracking of deliverables, documentation, progress monitoring, change management and meeting milestones on time and to budget, as well as the day to day management of multiple consultants.

You will be likely to spend 3 to 4 days a week on client sites, and the other days working from home or at the office, so you can bond with people and know your team.

Your background:

• 5 years + project management experience, 300 day+ projects
• ERP software, retail software or similar solutions expertise
• Worked for a reseller or vendor in a client facing role
• Strong leadership and man management skills
• Formal structured PM methods, such as MS Project, Prince 2, PMP, SureStep etc
• Budget management
• You form effective relationships with clients
• A confident communicator at all levels
• You can handle the awkward conversations and manage conflict
• Good at managing client expectations and a great people manager
• Dynamics 365, Dynamics AX or Dynamics NAV experience would be a bonus
