Technical Consultant ERP & SQL Server

Technical Consultant role with an ERP & CRM software reseller located between Luton and Watford near Hemel, for installs and upgrades based around SQL Server, the Microsoft stack and CRM, ERP & document management solutions. Working as the key interface with their clients and the team you will cover the project lifecycle from requirements through to solutions installation, Salary to £50k plus bonus.

You would spend a day a week in the office, more sometimes when appropriate. They have a full suite of roaming telecomms and home based technology that enables staff to work effectively from home. If you live in commuting distance of Luton / Hemel Hempstead that would be great, but anywhere south of Northampton within an hour's commute of Luton / Hemel is fine, as their clients are located south of Birmingham, down to London.

You will work with cloud, hosted and on premise installs, doing hardware surveys with the clients, server set ups, hardware & software upgrades, SQL Server, modifications, Microsoft reporting services such as SSIS, SSRS, windows, installs through client firewalls and ERP, CRM & document management deployment.

They are looking for someone who has worked as a Technical Consultant in a similar role for an ERP (or similar application software) reseller or vendor doing software & hardware installs on client site. Yoiu have a passion for IT and providing top notch client service.

You have the ability to think strategically and turn business objectives into technical solutions. You will be accustomed to a client facing position where you have talked to customers to establish a solid grasp of their problems that need to be solved in order to choose the appropriate software and hardware, and modify, test and install it. And you can own your assignments from commencement to conclusion, providing the Technical Director with progress reports.

They are currently focused on growth of their partner relations and the amount of technical hardware, installation and upgrade consulting work is increasing heavily with more complex needs and set ups for the clients. The technical consulting work has previously been looked after by 3 people including the Technical Director, as a side line to their main work, but they now need a dedicated Technical Consultant who can take on all the responsibility for this area of the business.

You would be joining an existing team of 3 Support Consultants, 1 Software Developer, 3 ERP & CRM Implementation Consultants and the Technical Director, working on Sage ERP, CRM and Document Management solutions.
