Application Support & Technical Support Consultant

This well established and successful software and IT company, based near Tewkesbury, are looking for an Application & Technical Support Consultant or Analyst. They are resellers of Sage 200, plus another ERP solution, plus they provide communications, networking, SharePoint and security services. They have over 200 clients covering a wide range of different hardware, software and IT services. There is a wide salary range from £23k to £38k depending on your experience level.

Sage 200 is the backbone of the business and they have nearly one hundred Sage 200 clients that need:

Application Support

Technical Support

Implementation

Upgrades

Consultancy Services

They are looking for an Application & Technical Support Consultant with:

• Some Application Software Support skills (any business solution)
• Some Technical Support like SQL Server, Windows Server, Installation and troubleshooting
• Ideally some CRM skills and happy to get certified in Sage CRM

The job includes figuring out if issues are software, database or server issues, so delving deep into error messages and therefore gaining yourself really solid technical skills.

This role comes with masses of training, mentoring, and coaching and they will pay for you to get certifications with Sage UK. They are a friendly, dynamic, ethical, cutting edge, award winning IT services company with a 25 year track record and around 30 staff.

You will work with a very experienced technical support and application support consultant, he is getting close to retirement and hoping to mentor a more junior level person and pass on his skills. However, they would also happily hire someone at a more senior level at the top end of their salary scale if you have good application & technical support skills.

This is an opportunity to acquire an incredibly valuable set of skills around Sage 200 and SQL Server and set your career up in both application support and technical support for the next 10 years.

WHO ARE YOU?

You have some application support skills with business application solutions, and some technical knowledge of things like SQL Server, Windows Server, and troubleshooting. If you like technology, and you are the person that that your friends go to when they have IT issues, if you are the one that does the IT training courses at work or helps the users and generally finds IT stuff interesting, then this is the role for you.
