Description

This specialist manufacturing company have moved their technology over from Oracle eBusiness to Sage EM / Enterprise Management (formerly known as Sage X3) and are looking for an ERP Business Analyst or ERP Support Consultant who has worked in a manufacturing environment and has good knowledge of the finance modules of ERP solutions. Based in Harrogate, they will pay up to £45k for an ERP Business Analyst / Support Analyst who needs cross training, or up to £50k if you already have Sage EM (Enterprise Management / X3) experience, plus private healthcare and life assurance.

They currently have an IT Manager, a Business Analyst (retiring) and 3 Support Analysts, 2 of whom work in ERP. You will work with their most highly experienced Business Analyst who is retiring in 2 years' time, and she is happy to pass on all her experience and knowledge to you, and mentor and coach you. She has 6 years Sage EM (Sage X3) experience, 30 years ERP expertise and is very strong on manufacturing and distribution. One of the other support analysts is currently on maternity leave, so they really need additional ERP resource.

This role involves requirements and business analysis and business process mapping, as well as support, so good ERP experience is essential, along with manufacturing, and accounting or finance / financial processes experience. Full training will be given in Sage EM (Enterprise Management / Sage X3) where required.

You will work with the users from board level, to factory shop floor to establish their business processes, and improve the efficiency of the ERP solution within the company. You will analyse requirements, write business & functional specs, develop & maintain the system documentation, support the finance department with business processing and reporting and support the users in general.

The company manufactures and distributes very specialised components and their ERP solution covers discrete manufacturing, raw materials, production, warehouse management, distribution, inventory control, supply chain, despatch, financials and accounting, ledgers & invoicing, and has a warehouse data capture solution embedded into it. So there is a lot to learn and the role will hold a lot of interest.

Your background:

  • ERP software experience such as Dynamics NAV, Epicor, Infor M3, Dynamics AX, Sage 1000, Sage 200, Sage EM, SAP Business One, MfgPRO, Aptean, Deltek, Exact, IFS, NetSuite, Priority ERP, QAD, Plex, Syspro, Reflex, Intact or similar.
  • Business analysis, business processes, and application support experience
  • Manufacturing and Finance / Accounting expertise
  • Finance reporting and documentation
  • Good communicator, personable, organised, excellent problem solver

The company has a 50 year history of innovation and invention with offices in 3 continents, over 400 global staff and offices in the USA, Asia and Canada. Financially strong, their reputation proceeds them in their niche market. They have very nice offices and a brand-new warehouse facility with plenty of parking. It's a great place to work.
