Description

Interesting role with a thriving end user distribution and ecommerce company, located very close to Chester, Deeside and Ellesmere Port. They are looking for an ERP Support Consultant who can take a senior position in the IT department, supporting and mentoring more junior Application Support Analysts and reporting to the Head of Service Delivery. Salary to £35k plus a range of benefits.

The company has been in business for over 40 years and has 500+ employees and a 1000,000 square foot warehousing facility. They run Sage solutions for ERP and SalesLogix for their CRM system, as well as WMS (warehouse management systems) Version 1 document management solutions, BI, ecommerce solutions and SQL.

You will provide ERP, CRM and WMS Application Support to staff throughout all areas of the business, taking ownership of tickets and prioritising your workload. You will log and track all calls and support requests, diagnose problems, find solutions, escalate problems to 3rd party suppliers where necessary, test applications, and provide leadership to the support team. Support may include desk side visits to staff, as well as remote connection using a variety of access tools.

In addition, you will look at issues that affect the warehouse, order processing, picking & Packing, invoicing, sales & marketing etc., and see what better use can be made of their ERP, CRM and WMS systems, and build strong relationships with key business users and stakeholders.

You will have supported ERP software such as Epicor, Sage 200, Dynamics NAV, Infor M3, Sage 1000, SAP Business One, Dynamics AX, IFS, Deltek, Exact, NetSuite, Syspro, QAD, Plex, NetSuite, Intact, Kerridge, Sage EM, Priority ERP, de Facto, Sage 500, Priam or anything similar.

Additionally, experience of supporting CRM, WMS and / or Document Management solutions would be highly regarded, and SQL scripting and SQL administration would also be very useful. Networking, ERP forms designer, Active Directory, Windows Task Scheduling and IT security are all helpful, but training will be provided where necessary to fill in the skills gaps.

You will gain wide exposure to a range of software and hardware increasing your employability and challenging you. Excellent problem-solving skills are essential, along with a calm approach, good communication (verbal and written), a curious mind, a proactive attitude, personable nature, customer-oriented focus and keen interest in emerging technology.

Initially the role will be a standard working week, but there are plans in the future to introduce earlier and later shifts, so it essential that you are flexible and happy to change your hours where required. There are also ad hoc out of hours work to be covered, which will extra money for you.
