- This is a super role for a Project Manager who has worked for a software consultancy / software vendor or software reseller and has experience of ERP, Warehouse Management software (WMS) or Supply Chain solutions (goods in, picking, warehouse performance, order processing, inventory, returns, stock control, demand planning, e-Commerce etc.) This owner managed software company produces and sells its own well-developed, highly adaptable Warehouse Management / Supply Chain software solution which integrates with full ERP systems, is built on a powerful database and delivered on premise or in the cloud, and they have grown a fantastic client base over the past 25 years. With two major new business wins, worth over £1M, they need a really good client facing, consultancy Project Manager to lead these 2 projects and the team. They are looking to pay around £50-55k + £4,500 car allowance with all fuel paid, so it's a decent package. Plus, in a smaller consultancy like this one you will be a key member, highly valued and able to influence and use your ideas. There is a chance that this job may grow into something bigger over the few years, if they get the right individual on board. With around 25 people in the company, you will have 3 people on your software implementation team, plus skilled staff working in software development, technical support and application support and a strong sales team doing the new deals. Typical projects here are £200-250k, so you need to be comfortable and used to managing projects of this scale. You need to be the type of Project Manager who can really take the lead with the clients, establishing their project goals and developing drafts that outline their objectives and outcomes. You will hold brain storming sessions, analyse their business needs, develop detailed project plans, carry out risk assessments and co-ordinate the efforts of your implementation team, setting milestones and ensuring you can meet deliverables on time and to budget. You will also have the ability to take on the role of day to day leader, building strong relationships with the clients and your internal staff, and working closely with the accounting, software development and sales people to ensure that the projects are fully supported.
