2 Account Managers are wanted with some experience of ERP software sales. These roles are office based near Stockport, and you will be in the office most days so commuting distance needs to be reasonable. Earning potential is excellent. Starting salary to £45k plus car allowance. Realistically in your first year, you will probably earn around £65k as you learn the software and get to know your client base. £100k is very doable in your second year - the top account manager here earned £141k last year.
You will have some experience of ERP software sales and will be someone who understands what ERP solutions do for a business, and what the business issues are. You will be able to talk about all IT issues, across software, hardware, and networking to find out the real pain points that your clients have. You are enthusiastic, professional, consultative, a good communicator and a good team player.
The job is to manage the existing "bases"; these are clients working across 2 different ERP solutions (Sage and SAP mid-range products) as well as Managed Service, Hardware Hosting and IT Support contracts. Clients move across to the base about 6 months after the first deal is signed with them, and the company has about 100 different products and services they can offer the client.
You will have a wide range of clients from 5 users to 500 users and across a variety of hardware, software and ERP configurations. 80% of the clients run ERP solutions, and that is your target market. Their spend for instance could be £100k's worth of hosting alone.
You will be running 40 accounts, working closely with the clients finding out what they need and selling tailored solutions to them. This is a very consultative sales approach that would suit someone who has sold a variety of different solutions covering ERP software, as well as some of the following: hardware, IT support, service management and add-ons.
You could be offering your clients new hardware, software licenses, new ERP modules, ERP upgrades, add-on's, hosted hardware, managed services or IT support services. The role would suit someone early in their sales career, someone who is happy to learn about a wide range of products, services and technologies and how each client can benefit from each offering.
You will have a brilliant technical team behind you, the back office teckies just love a difficult challenge, and they have a track record of building imaginative technical solutions for clients.
The company is looking to add two more Account Managers to the team, one at senior level who can hit the ground running, and then a more junior level person.
