Application Support Consultant, ERP or Accounting

We are looking for an Application Support Consultant with ERP Software or Accounting Software expertise, or Application Support of any similar software that has an accounting element to it, such as DMS (Dealer Management software), Property Management software, Construction software, Supply Chain or Distribution software or MRP. The more accounts knowledge you have the better and if you have Sage 200 skills, they would be very keen. Starting salary to £30k, plus private healthcare, based in Bury St. Edmunds.

They are winning a lot of new business, and this combined with promoting one of their Application Support Consultants means that they need an additional person on the support team. They work with accounting and ERP solutions, they develop add-ons, and have lots of web interfaces and mobile apps, so there is plenty to learn.

You will get cross training to Sage 200 if you need it and can either grow your career within application support and training or move into ERP software consulting and implementation in the future. They are very good at looking after their staff and making sure you reach your full potential.

They are looking for an Application Support Analyst who has experience of standard accounting or ERP software packages such as Pegasus Opera, Access Dimensions, Coda, Sage 200, Dynamics GP, Sage 50, Dynamics NAV, Exchequer, PS Financials, Agresso, SunSystems, SAP Business One, OpenAccounts, Epicor, Infor Exact etc or who has worked with similar application software that has an accounting module. This is a first and second line support role as part of a busy team, and requires someone who has excellent communication skills and can build relationships with their clients.

You may already be working for a software reseller or vendor, or you may be in a helpdesk position at an end user, or a systems administration or super user role. But you need to be someone who is organised, can prioritise calls and requests, can use your problem-solving skills to come up with solutions, can document and log issues and progress, and you enjoy helping customers and talking to clients. You are enthusiastic, but calm under pressure and you see the benefits of sharing problems and knowledge with your team mates. You will work hard here but you will have a laugh along the way, and you will get to enjoy the social side of being in a fun, and progressive company.

You will help with training and testing software updates and will be the kind of person 'who gets the job done'. You will also get to work with a variety of other software and add-ons such as BI, Manufacturing, CRM, and dashboards and hand-held mobile devices, and get involved in some client training. So, no day will ever be the same and there will be plenty for you to learn.
