- Description
New requirement for an ERP Implementation Consultant with strong manufacturing experience, for a thriving, busy software company based in the Midlands. You can be home based, ideally you live somewhere in the Midlands with access to the motorway network. Leicester is just a central point. Starting salary to £60k plus £5k car allowance, you need to be happy travelling to client sites across the UK.
They are looking for a hands-on ERP Manufacturing Consultant who can handle all aspects of the implementation process from getting the client's requirements, looking at the strengths and weaknesses of the current system, running workshops, documentation and configuring the ERP solution to fit, through implementation, go-live and user training.
The ideal candidate will have worked on a number of manufacturing projects. This could be with older manufacturing solutions such as BPCS, JBA, Baan or Maapics, to current software such as IFS, Infor Syteline, Infor Visual, SAP, Sage X3, Sage 1000, EFACS, Dynamics AX, Epicor, Infor LN, Access Supply Chain, QAD, Glovia, Kerridge K8 Manufacturing, Exact, Javelin, Oracle JDE, eBusiness or NetSuite, Syspro or anything similar.
The important thing is that you understand the manufacturing process and can talk confidently to stakeholders and users about make-to-order, production, raw materials, finished goods, distribution, warehousing, sales order processing and so on.
Hopefully you have the right combination of creative thinking, people skills, problem solving, manufacturing knowledge, ERP implementation experience, technical ability, and thinking on your feet, along with strong communication skills to be able to get complex ideas across in an easy-to-understand fashion, and ensure the best possible experience for users of the software. You recognise and avoid pitfalls, such as scope creep and inadequate testing, and advise when something can't be done, rather than start down a path of inevitable failure.
You will deliver flexible, next-generation, scalable & robust ERP software solutions to your clients. This successful software reseller has a 15 year history in ERP for manufacturing, a team of 30+ talented people and a full order book, and work with lean, discrete and make-to-order manufacturing & distribution clients. They are looking for someone who is honest and upfront with clients about what can be delivered, and gets satisfaction from increasing their productivity, adding value and helping them manage their growth.
You will be a talented ERP Consultant with manufacturing project experience, happy to visit clients and work away for 2 or 3 days a week on client site, with monthly visits to their Midlands office.
