Description

We are looking for an Implementation Consultant / Professional Services Consultant with experience of the intelligent scheduling / route planning & optimisation module of ERP software. Or you may have expertise with fleet management software, logistics planning software, or specific route scheduling software or field service.

This is a key role with a top five global ERP & Field Service solutions company who are specialists in the intelligent route scheduling and planning parts of ERP & Field Service. The company is in the Gartner magic quadrant of ERP companies; they are outperforming other ERP software authors and this year are 125% of target. Salary to £70k plus £5-10k bonus and car allowance. This is home based anywhere in the UK - clients are nationwide, there is extensive UK travel, so you can be based anywhere. Software development is centred in the Midlands near Coventry and the Midlands is always a good central area to be based in for travelling round the UK.

You need to be a confident and competent Implementation Consultant or Professional Services Consultant who can cover the full life cycle from getting the client requirements, business analysis, running workshops, configuring the software to fit, implementation and user training. You are bright, ambitious, energetic, outgoing, client facing and professional with superb communication skills.

They have over 30 modules within their robust and scalable ERP & Field Service solution with a huge strength in the scheduling and route planning module. This role is to join their new UK global centre of excellence that they are building to support the continued demand of the scheduling solutions they sell across the world. It will provide consultancy and expertise to both end user companies and software clients globally, and there is an option for you do partake in some international travel, but it is always voluntary. They already have 3 Consultants working specifically on implementing the scheduling & planning module (one is transferring to their California offices) and are looking for another 3 for the team.

So what is this intelligent scheduling software solution?

If a customer runs a business that requires field service management, the hardest part of the job may be juggling engineers' schedules and routes as the jobs pour in. With powerful algorithms, engineer utilisation, decreased driving time and fuel costs can be maximised, and reduce the burden on the office staff. As an example, a company with a minimum of 400 engineers and up to 1000 engineers or more, needs to plan which people, in which vehicles, go to what locations. This solution makes sure the right engineer is driving to the right place, provides high definition maps, does the route planning, including speed limits and traffic conditions, makes sure the right parts and equipment are on the vehicle, tracks the movement and records the deliveries and updates the stock and billings. Their advanced field service scheduling and appointment / route scheduling / traffic management software can also be effectively bolted on to an existing field service management system.

Typical clients could be:

  • Cable TV or security companies
  • Photocopying / air conditioning / machinery engineers
  • Insurance assessors
  • Airline and railway engineers
  • Refuse collection vehicles
  • Drug testers for athletes and animals in sporting events

The options are endless …….

They are the market leader in this space and the solution can be bought as part of their complete ERP package, or it can be sold as a pure field service module linked to other ERP solutions or as a pure scheduling module linked to SAP or similar large ERP software.

The advantages of working for this company are that they are the software author and owner, they have strong development, marketing and sales teams so you can get involved in all aspects. They have offices all over the world and they encourage people to work in different countries, (California is a popular move for Brits), and they can offer an amazing career opportunity to any Implementation Consultant joining this new team now. You will get superb training and will start off shadowing an experienced Senior Consultant until you learn the ropes.

You may have worked with products from Webfleet solutions, PTV Group, FLS (Fast, Lean, Smart), Commusoft, Maxoptra, Servicemax, IFS, TOA, TrakM8, Click Software, Fieldmotion, AutoVuSolutions, Aeromark, Verizonconnect, Paragon, Optrak, MJC2, or similar, or with the intelligent scheduling module of an ERP or Field Service software solution.
