Description
This successful specialist food company is looking for an IT Manager who has good MS SQL skills with experience of ERP software, and has manufacturing or supply chain knowledge. The role is based near Greenford in Middlesex and you will be responsible for two members of staff. Starting salary from £35- £45k (negotiable, depending on your level of experience) plus bonus and company benefits. This innovative company works in a niche food market. They have grown substantially over the last 20 years from their humble beginnings to the £25 million turnover business that they are today, with 120 employees and 45,000 square feet of factory and office space. They are planning to double in size over the next 5 years or so, which means this role could really go somewhere in the future. They currently run a SQL database driven, modern ERP system which is a full business solution covering accounts, sales & purchase orders, warehousing, stock control, supply chain, manufacturing and distribution. A virtualised server infrastructure employs dual redundant core servers utilizing disk to disk backup systems, and they use the latest VOIP technology to support their home users through Juniper VPN's for remote access. They have developed their own Intranet hosted CRM platform that provides instant access to a range of customer service and sales information. As their IT Manager you will report to the Financial Controller and manage a team of 2. You need to have a good understanding of ERP software solutions for manufacturing or supply chain companies, business analysis, SQL and Excel, Report Writing, and will be adept at talking to the users and stakeholders to identify their needs. You also need general IT knowledge including hardware and software, telephony, infrastructure and networking. You will have overall responsibility for supporting their ERP solution, (as well as looking after IT software, hardware and infrastructure), and will liaise with the departments to produce business reports and improve the company's business processes. You will develop MIS reporting systems, using Microsoft Reporting Services, Report Builder and Excel, make proposals for future IT investment and manage their outsourced & internal IT resources. You will also look after the outsourced team who maintain their hardware, data and digital infrastructure and train internal users in software & systems. Your Profile: *Experience managing ERP solutions in a manufacturing or supply chain environment *SQL databases *Good report writing skills - MS SQL, Excel, Reporting Services *A broad understanding of IT hardware and software infrastructure *A good communicator, personable and focused on good service to the internal teams They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and interested in their business and will apply their ideas and use their initiative to improve their MIS processes and systems, as well as relating well to people at all levels within the company.
