Description

A new Software Sales Executive role, that would suit someone at a more junior level, who has had one or two sales job in the software industry and is looking for a step up into big ticket ERP solution sales. You would need to have been involved in lead generation, cold calling and email campaigns, and have seen the process that your sales leads go through including initial enquiry, qualification of the client, qualified meeting, 2nd meeting, and so on. Some software sales experience is essential, any type of solution.

This ERP software reseller will offer a huge amount of mentoring and training for the right person. They have a superb team of quality sales people and need one extra person. You will need to do some lead generation yourself and be happy to cold call and do marketing emails and work through the complete sales process as you gain more experience. Base salary anywhere from £25k to £40k, with double commission - so £50k to £80k, plus a £5k car allowance. You will be office based with visits to client sites so you should live in good commuting distance of the Hook area (Berkshire, Surrey, South London, Hampshire, West Sussex or Middlesex).

They are looking for someone with some solution sales experience, who is tenacious, proactive, energetic, bright, well-educated and presentable - a people person, excellent at building rapport with clients. You are passionate about growing a successful career in consultative professional sales, and passionate about the software market. You conduct yourself well, you ask sensible questions and you look the part.

You will start by doing some quotes, some demos, some cold calls, some marketing, and help out on meetings. And eventually you will run the entire sales cycle yourself. You will work strategically and consultatively with their sales and marketing resources to target, penetrate and close key clients.

Realistically this role is a superb doorway to a career in ERP and software solution sales with typical earning of £100k plus. The sales team here is made up of the MD, Sales Manager, 1 New Business Sales, 1 Account Manager, a Sales Assistant to help with paperwork, diaries, cold calling and email campaign plus a great marketing team. The company is doing particularly well at the moment in the following markets: professional services (accountants, lawyers, and fee earning firms), pharmaceutical, casinos and food & beverage.

As one of the most long standing ERP software companies in the UK, they have a superb track record for winning big ERP deals, doing interesting projects and retaining customers. Staff are treated very well and their employee retention is amazing.

This is a large ERP product. To sell it can take anything from 2 months to 18 months; deals involve a long drawn out process with lots of meetings and specialised demonstrations. However deals are never less than £100k and often closer to £1 million. So if you do one deal a month you will be making over £100k in annual earnings. As a Software Sales Executive here, you will benefit from a superb marketing department, plus they are the first choice for the software vendor to pass leads to for complex solution sales, so you get some real bonus leads coming your way. You will also work with phenomenal Pre-Sales consultants who can help you learn the product inside out and understand more about the technicalities.

You will take clients through the sales process, keeping track of the different decision makers and making sure the key sponsors remain "on side". This is very consultative selling as the client knows that they have a need for the software - you must make sure that you fully understand their issues.

If you are an enthusiastic, ambitious, bright IT software sales person, this role will give you great training, a very experienced, dynamic, knowledgeable and friendly team to work with, high earnings and a terrific future ahead.
