- Description
Sales Support Assistant / Sales Administrator; this is a super job for someone who is keen to start in sales support & sales admininstration, helping the software sales team with quotations, pricing, setting up contracts, monthly reports, booking diaries & travel arrangements, processing of documents and so on, but may be looking to move into a Junior Account Management position in their second year, and start looking after their own clients. A high standard of education is essential - eithr A levels and / or a degree or further education, but certainly a minimum of an A or B grade at GCSE in English and Math's.
So it is a Sales Administration / Sales Support Assistant role which will give you an entry into enterprise software account management in the future, if that is the path you would like to take. Salary to £25k to start with, rising to £28k in your second year as you move into managing your own client accounts, and learning about mid-market software. You must be able to commute to the Fleet area easily.
A high standard of education is essential as mentioned. You need to be meticulous when calculating precise margins for the sales quotations, and you need excellent written English for preparing documents, quotes and reports, and preparing emails to customers, and very good spoken English for answering client questions and phone queries.
They are looking for someone with an administration, or sales support background who is outgoing, bright & inquisitive, very well organised, meticulous and has an eye for detail. You will be a person who says to yourself: "if it is worth doing, it is worth doing properly", and you are keen to join a company where you can use your initiative to positively influence the success of the business. You will be very good with Microsoft Office, and have an interest in software and technology.
The role will cover creating and following up quotes, processing documents, communicating with their software partners for assistance with quotations for software sales, ensuring contracts with their suppliers are up to date, taking minutes of sales meetings, helping to organise travel, appointments and events, creating monthly reports on results for the sales teams, using the CRM system, and giving general support to the sales team and their clients, wherever required.
As you progress in the first year, you will start shadowing sales or account managers, to learn the complete software sales cycle, which will enable you to eventually move into a Junior Account Management role in your second year.
You are proactive and can look after busy sales people when they are getting stressed, by remaining calm and organised, and keeping your head on your shoulders. And hopefully you have a little fun sometimes too! The environment at this software reseller is positive, young, vibrant, and positive, and they have an excellent reputation as a professional software reseller, with some very bright people for you to work with. Staff retention is excellent.
