Recruiting a bright, detail oriented Application Support Consultant with prior experience supporting accounting software. Our client has had 25 successful years implementing and supporting business & finance software solutions globally, and has over 900 staff worldwide. Business is still doing very well during the pandemic, and they need an additional Application Support Consultant, skilled in supporting financial accounts software. Salary to £45k plus bonus, private healthcare and 5 weeks' holiday.
You will have worked in a 1st or 2nd Line Application Support role, helping clients or end users with their accounting and finance software queries by telephone, email and remote connection. Or you might be an accounting Software Implementation Consultant who would like to stop travelling and have a regular 9.00 to 5.00 life. The position will be home based for now until the world returns to more normality, but will eventually be mostly office based in Milton Keynes. So you need to be in commuting distance.
You have solid experience supporting software solutions such as Sage 200, Xero Accounting, Dynamics NAV, Autoline, SAP Business One, Kerridge, Sage X3, Access Dimensions, Maconomy, Exchequer, PS Financials, Pegasus Opera, BrightPearl, COINS, Yardi, Dynamics GP, Tramps, Dynamics GP, SunAccounts, Agresso, PEX, Pinewood, Coda Dream, Sage One, or any other application software that has a decent accounting module to it. You can talk knowledgeably to clients about the problems they are having with their accounting software, and understand their business processes.
This is a busy support department backed up by Implementation Consultants, Developers, Project Managers and Pre-Sales people and the company has over 6000 clients. Their software solution is flexible, cloud based and user friendly and covers accounts, billing, invoicing, lettings, rents, inventory, sales & CRM, asset management and much more. The main requirement is knowledge of accounting software or the accounting modules of ERP type software solutions. They want someone who is switched-on, has terrific problem-solving skills, builds strong client relationships and really enjoys dealing with people.
Knowledge and abilities:
- Accounting Software Support experience is a must
- A high level of problem solving skills and analytical abilities
- Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
- Can make quick, intuitive decisions in a fast-paced environment
- You troubleshoot issues with skill, and work with the team to resolve them
- Comfortable working under the pressure of deadlines
- You have a positive attitude and bags of enthusiasm
- Keen to learn and implement new software systems
- AAT or similar accounting qualification would be a bonus
