- Description
A skilled Account Manager who has sold ERP software, licenses, add-ons and support contracts is wanted by this mid-market ERP reseller based near Manchester. They are looking for someone with brilliant relationship management skills, broad business software expertise, who is passionate about making technology work to transform businesses, and who can keep the clients happy and informed. You work directly with ERP software clients to drive their adoption of the solutions, get the most out of their ERP product, and achieve their business ambitions.
Base salary to £45k, with car allowance and around £20k commission in your first year, if you get up and running efficiently, and £50 - £60k commission in your second year. Their top Account Manager makes around £140k p.a. The role is home based, but you will have to go into head office once a week near Manchester, so you can live anywhere in the UK that allows you to get to the Manchester area one day a week.
With proven success dealing with ERP software clients and at least 2 years in account management and software sales, you will have previously worked for a software reseller or vendor as an account manager for clients using ERP software, and you are someone who understands what an ERP solution does for a business, and what the clients' issues are. Your knowledge of ERP allows you to refine your clients' use of the software and by selling them enhancements to the product, you can make an impact on their bottom line. If you also have broader knowledge of all IT issues across hardware, managed services and networking, then that would be a big advantage.
With circa 45 accounts to manage across a board spectrum of industry types, you will liaise with the clients, discovering their needs and selling tailored solutions to them. Working with SME companies, you will use a consultative approach and your warm, confident personality, to successfully manage these relationships and sell them software upgrades, support contracts, managed services, and hosting services.
This would suit someone who has sold a variety of different solutions covering ERP software, hardware, and service management. They have one of the best Pre-Sales Consultants on their product in the UK, so as an ERP Account Manager here, you will have a stunning resource to back you up.
Clients range from 5 to 500 users, and typically get passed across to the account management team 6 months after the first deal is closed, and there are about 100 different products and services to offer them from then on. They have found over the years that ERP sales people are best at selling ERP software and technical sales people are better at selling 'techie' stuff. So you can look for opportunities around hardware, networking, add-on's and hosted hardware too, but the normal thing would be to get a technical sales person to work with you on these.
You will have a brilliant technical team to help you, the back office techies just love a difficult challenge and they have a track record of building imaginative technical solutions for clients.
So if you are a savvy Account Manager, who takes a partnering approach, enjoys translating complex techie speak to business speak, creates valued and trusted relationships ensuring benefits are being derived and clients are maximising their return on the investment, and you believe that "people do business with people" - then get in touch.
