Description

This role is for someone who would like to learn more about software implementation & software training, and has worked within distribution, wholesale, inventory management or merchant companies, or has implemented or supported that type of software at an end user. Your background might be implementing software in these environments or you might come from a wholesale or distribution business and have good "business knowledge", plus a good understanding of stock control, purchasing, packaging, distribution & warehousing etc., combined with an IT / application software background, maybe as a super user in the warehouse or supply chain, or as a system administrator or analyst.

You would be joining a busy, close knit team of 12 made up of 3 Project Leaders, 3 Data Analysts, and 6 Implementation Consultants / Software Trainers. You will work in the head office (when the office is allowed to re-open), so you need to be able to commute there easily, and it is located between Droitwich Spa and Stourport on Severn. Salary to £34k plus 5 weeks holiday and private health.

You will be working with cloud ERP software, on remote software implementation projects, taking the client through the whole implementation lifecycle. This involves talking to stakeholders and users, finding out what their requirements are for the software, configuring the ERP software to fit their warehousing, supply chain, distribution and stock management needs, setting up and running training vis WebEx, taking the projects through to go live implementation, and hand holding and supporting the client as they get to grips with the software.

Your background: You need to be confident speaking to customers at all levels, with excellent communication and oral & written English - and you can accurately document the implementation process, and speak to stakeholders and users on a regular basis. You understand the business processes and pain points of purchasing, stock control, warehousing, distribution, supply chain and merchandising, and you see where software fits in and simplifies these processes, allowing clients to maximise profits and grow their companies. You have a keen interest in software, IT and technology, you are a good problem solver, and you get a kick out of training people and seeing their knowledge increase.

If you have experience of ERP software or merchants' software, so much the better, as that means your learning curve will be shorter.

Our client is a software company. They have recently re-developed their ERP solution and it is now a fully browser based, intuitive, user friendly, dashboard driven, cloud based product. It sells very well in their niche wholesale and distribution market, and the team is busy with new software implementations and training the users. They are expecting to grow their software implementation team dramatically over the next year, as clients are loving the new product and snapping it up, so career opportunities will be excellent.

If you like working in a fast paced business, you love software, and you understand the wholesale, distribution and stock control areas of business, this could be your launch pad into an exciting and satisfying career in software implementation and client training.
