This is a superb sales role for someone who wants to work mainly in an internal sales role where most business comes in to you by enquiry. So you are not going to be working in a cold-calling environment, but taking initial enquiries, qualifying the client to see if the specialist CRM software you are selling fits their needs and doing demos by WebEx. For a Junior Level Sales Executive with some CRM software experience, looking for an opportunity to grow into a role and sell CRM software, this is an amazing opportunity.
Our client needs someone to handle the sales aspects of their niche market CRM software business, from the initial enquiry through to close of the deal. But they are happy to work with someone junior who can grow and develop into the role with lots of help and mentoring, or equally they would consider a Sales Executive who is more experienced in CRM solution sales.
So for this reason the salary range is from £25k to £40k as a base, and the commission is from £5,000 to £25,000 depending on the experience and knowledge that the sales person brings and how much of the deal they are responsible for. So as a Junior you might make an initial OTE of £30-35k, whereas an experienced CRM Software Sales Executive would be looking at an OTE of around £65,000.
This job is to work in a very varied internal CRM software sales role covering:
- Initial enquiries
- Software demos by WebEx
- Preparing quotations
- Contract renewals
- Marketing and some social media work
- Email campaigns
- Dealing with direct website enquiries
- Closing the sale
You will be able take as much responsibility and ownership of these tasks as you can or you are able to, and you can grow into the role learning the areas that you haven't experienced before. You will learn all aspects of CRM software solution sales and gain experience of MS Dynamics CRM including exams and certifications.
The niche area that they work in means that their clients need a CRM solution for things like project bidding, quotations, tenders, project tracking, pipeline forecasting, wins, field service management, risk assessment, mobile CRM and contact management so it is important to qualify the client properly and find out whether the software suits their needs.
They are looking for a really bright, outgoing individual who is good on the phone talking to people and is interested in their clients' business and finding out what the CRM software could do for their growth and profitability. You need excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for technology and you should be able to work well with and track your opportunities, building relationships and picking the best prospects.
You will have worked with or sold CRM software (this could be Dynamics CRM, Sage CRM, Salesforce, SalesLogix, NetSuite, Pivotal, Goldmine, Act! SugarCRM, RightNow, Zoho, ProspectSoft, SalesAchiever or similar) and you will be client facing and happy to talk to people on the phone and do on-line software demonstrations. You should also have an interest in the marketing and social media aspects of software sales.
Maybe you are someone that is often told "You would be good in Sales" but you haven't quite made that transition yet!
